Contest time!
The rest of the staff members like to be mean and not let me make contests when I feel like it, so shhhhh its a secret. We're doing this.
First up, we've got a writing contest. Actually... There are two! Isn't that amazing? Two different writing prompts that offer you a chance to win big.... Bragging rights. Yeah, we dont have a big reward system in place just yet, but in due time, ill convince Phen to get off his butt and give us some cool little trinkets for winning.
Anyways, first writing prompt was actually designed by Phen. This is a neat little idea that he thought would be fun and amusing. The idea is to write a story that is so insanely edgy and dark that its cringy to even write.
Rules:
1. It has to be edgy. Super edgy. That main character has gotta be so cool and try so hard that its lame.
"Hmm... How do I exsplain it...
Just... Overly trying to be cool, dramatic, and scary. Like every creepypasta story and every SCP entry"
2. Has to fit the lore of SRT. I know, you guys probably don't want to write about things on the site, and would rather make your own edge-fast if masterpieces, but the contest does need to fit in with the site.
3. It doesn't have to be serious, it can be silly. Have fun with it.

Second writing prompt is a little less silly, and a little more spooky. The only holiday I celebrate is coming up, so to get things moving in the right direction, we're gonna have you guys write a story with the thought in mind: Halloween in the SRT. Write whatever kind of horror story you want about an October 31st in the SRT Universe. Make it about ghosts, skeletons, creepy goblins attacking the cities. Anything you think would be truly scary.
This idea was thought of and presented by Know, so thank him for giving you the opportunity.
Sidenote, I was in school at one point and I understand how frustrating it is to be told what to write about. So, I will allow contest entries that are spooky, and don't revolve around the SRT Universe. But, that said, they will need to have ghosts and skeletons in them. (There has to be some level of restriction here.)

As always, I do like to get our artists back in the game as much as possible. I love to see what you guys draw and how great you are. I'm not just saying that to get more people to join either... You guys know that... Right?
Anyways, this time we wanna see a drawing of any character of your choice standing next to what you think the General looks like. Seems pretty simple, right? Well, the only other option I have for you would be like last year. What's your character going to dress up as for Halloween? Refrain from choosing any highly offensive costumes, but anything goes for this year. (By the way I might have convinced Know to join so you guys are gonna be in trouble this time around
