(Hmm... fine.)
NEW ALBANY WEDNESDAY, 01:25 THE SALTED SEADOG
The Salted Seadog, a rather popular and well known night club- known for having the latest music, the best drinks, and even the occasional celebrity! What is generally known, but often never brought up, is that after 10 PM, the club turns into a Mobster hot spot. The manager seems to have connections with various heads of the local gangs, allowing him to enforce the rule that his place is a no-go in terms of robbery or shoot out. Considering that ever since it has opened in 1904 and experienced only three robberies, it is safe to say that it is working. However... something big is going on. There are far more shipments than there were before, more new blood being recruited and being told to gather more money- it has gotten to the point where the police can legitimately arrest a low ranked mobster and have few repercussions for a couple weeks. On the Mobster side, they had simply been told to just be on standby- the heads were interacting with their underlings less and less, and seemed to be in the middle of some sort of negotiation. No one was really sure what it was really, besides those closer to them, and any information coming from their mouths couldn't be trusted so long you didn't bribe them with enough dough to keep a family fed for a year.
THE WHARF
On the other side of the law, thing were getting rather... confusing. The newly elected mayor was investing a large part of the funding into the law enforcement, allowing the Police Commissioner to pick up a wave of fresh faced recruits- straight from the academies- and allow for the policemen to be reequipped with state of the art equipment. Seeing as there was a somewhat calm due to whatever concerned the Mobs so, the police can finally do some work against the criminals so often able to control their streets. At this time of night, Richard Tecn was shadowing one of the veteran officers- an Officer Anthony-, as they patrolled the docks at night. There was a light drizzle at this time, and was fairly chilly- the combination of the two making the dock sparsely populated, only passing by the occasional worker or homeless.
