A recent murder has been commited within the rooms of the large mansion on stebonslane. A husband, wife, and two children were found dead. It i up to you, the detective, to solve this case. You'll be going into the case blindly, and will have to gather info on your own. With your own expertise, you will be able to find clues and leads that will lead you to the killer.
But there's a catch.
You, or one of your associates, was the murderer.
The husband is a well earning lawyer, working for a certain firm known for sometimes working with... "shady" clientel.
The wife is a housewife through and through, known in the neighbourhood by many. However, such regard can bring about rumors. Rumors of her, detail her having men come over at questionable hours.
The first child, a girl of 16, is known to be the "queen" of her school. Highly regarded by many, but also suffering of the jealosy and questionable allure of many.
The second child, a boy of 15, is quite the opposite of his older sister. He is moreso feared than prestigous, as he has put even teachers to frustration and fear for losing their jobs.
There are a few simple rules. 1. No meta, in the beginning, your character will have no way of knowing one of your associates committed the murder. So any NPC that has clues leading to him/her must also be considered suspect. You never know if the killer had help... 2. If you are the killer, you are not allowed to inform anyone else of this. All the actions that you commit as the killer will be done through pm, and you will be notified through PM if you are the killer. 3. Mind that you will have to obey the law. If you commit a crime in order to catch the killer, you might end up suffering consequences. 4. How you solve the case is up to you. work together or go at it alone. But know that the murderer can take advantage of you if you happen to team up with him/her... and the murderer can strike again. 5. act to your character. If you're a forensic analysist you won't flinch at the sight of gore, but as a detective, you will be more susceptible to such reactions. You are not superman, just another guy doing his job.
Bio: Name: Age: Appearance: Job: (Detective/forensic analysist/forensic psychologist/private detective) Backstory: (You MUST have some connection to the people that were murdered. I'll discuss each of the backstory's that are presented through PM, but i'd like to see your own idea first.)
Detective: As a detective you've specialised in solving crimes. You have a particularly strong gut feeling, so in some instances, you might find yourself finding the urge to look somewhere or ask a question you normally wouldn't.
Forensic analysist: As forensic analysist you know well how to find and research physical leads and clues. You can spot clues more easily and make more in depth analysis of such.
Forensic psychologist: As forensic psychologist you've learned how to figure out people. You pick up on people lying more easily and can put connections between leads, that normally would be far fetched, make sense.
Private detective: As private detective you know how to evade the law and have connections everywhere. If you do something you're not supposed to, you can make a call to a certain high ranking buddy t get a "get out of jail for free" card. But only once.
