His form, shuttered and spluttered as he coughed up the pools of water that rested in his lungs. Gripping the sand, he found himself flipping onto his front as his eyes fluttered to life. His mind ran in every direction yet ended up no where. Every thought he had in that moment seemed scattered, splitting and drowning in some unknown void. Under that masked, that somehow seemed to attach itself to his face, his eyes shifted to the clawed creature that stumbled across the ground.
He could feel the tiny trickle of blood run down from his ear where he was pinched. He could see the colour of glistening red on it's claw. A twisting of swirling anger made itself known in that void of his mind. It ran in circles as the colour of red found itself in the forefront of his mind. He could feel his fists grow tight as something struck out. A tendril of blackness, no nothingness, struck out wrapping around the crustacean as another two came, ripping the creature limb from limb. With nothing but the body left he found those tendrils throwing it back far into the ocean, for it to meet it's watery grave.
It took a moment for Sam to realise what had came over him, as that swirl of anger faded, he found himself pushing away, scrambling across the ground. He tried to push away from the tendrils, only to find them lingering by his head. Shrieking, he attempted to hit them, trying to scramble away from them. Yet those tendrils just seemed to move out the way of harm.
"W-What in the name of Relo..." Sam cried out, as he scrambled to his feet, looking terrified of his own shadow. Looking back out to the ocean, those feelings of fear seemed to fade for a moment, as an empty void filled his mind. Yet as soon as his fear faded out, that awful sounds, something far too familiar to him, yet so unknown filled his mind, as an overwhelming sense of dread overcame him. "What... Happened..." He whispered as he looked out to the lapping waves. Feeling his grip in his fist tighten as his tendrils begin to lash out, he shouted out to the waves once more. "What are you!" Yet for as much as he screamed it seemed his answers just flew into the void.
