Here's some elaboration on the rules.
Rule 1: You are free to swear, as long as you don't go on insulting and attacking a person individually out of character. Trying to create fights, manipulate people, harras members, threatening members, directly insult members, troll with the explicit desire to hinder another member out of character or in any other way shape or form attack members with the desire to harm, then you will receive a singular warn for every person targetted.
Hacking, distributing toxic files, or cases in which the harassment is more severe will, in consult with other staff members, earn you a permanent ban.
Rule 2: Attempting, or the act of harassing and/or threatening of staff members will earn you a warn, or possible permaban if the attempts are deemed excessively toxic.
Rule 3: Doing sexual RP's will is not allowed. Under sexual RP's, we categorize the following:
- Explicit description of nudity
- Explicit description of direct sexual acts
- Explicit description of sexual harassment
Hugging, kissing and other such acts of affection are by all mean allowed. The act of touching the more private parts of the body (with the clothing still on) borders the line of what is allowed. If you doubt if something is allowed, PM staff with the post before actually posting it. We will not warn you for these pm's regardless of posts content. (As long as it does not break rule 2).
Posting pictures, videos, or links to such either through pm or post is regarded as warnable. This only counts for pictures/videos with sexually explicit content or nudity.
Of course, you're free to do so away from the site, on private messages on other social media.
Rule 4: This rule only counts for the main world. Self-explanatory. Breaking this will end you up with a warn. And yes, we require you to quote the post in which your character received an item when you add t to your bio. Only then will staff approve the addition. Until then, your character will not be able to use the item that was gained. This also counts for new skills, spells, gear, money, weaponry, etc.
Your character has stats for a reason. Act towards their level. A low intelligence character isn't good at maths. A low dexterity character isn't good at running. If you feel as if your character's actions might be going out of bounds, PM staff about it. If staff tells you something is going too far, then you must follow instructions of staff and alter the actions. You're free to PM staff to argue the subject, but it is no guarantee that you can convince staff.
Rule 5: This rule only counts for the main world.
Godmodding is the act of ignoring damage, breaking set systems or doing more attacks/damage than possible. We will often inform you that you are breaking this rule. Repeated breaking of this rule will get you a warn.
Meta is hard to control, but as long as you don't anticipate anything it should be good. Doing this will once again end up with us informing you of you breaking the rule. With repeated breaking, we will give you a warn.
Rule 6: Yes, I know, it's a weird one. Basically just don't use do "XD". Ask any of the older members / staff why. They'll tell you a fun story.
Rule 7: It is annoying for readers and rp'rs. We will inform you if you do this, and warn you if you repeat breaking this rule.
Rule 8: Alternate accounts are banned upon discovery. Every alternate account you make will earn you a warn.
Rule 9: This rule counts only for the main world. You are free to take inspiration of other characters, just don't blatantly steal backstory/name/appearance. Everything can be based upon, but nothing should be stolen.
Rule 10: Old members only rule. TRPS was where this rp was previously located and where the old members came from. The story had developed quite a bit there before the rp moved and started over.
Rule 11: Advertising on our site without the allowance for us to advetise in return on said site will earn you a warning, up to a permanent ban depending on your time of involvement with the site. Links to sites for non-advertisement purposes is allowed, as long as this does not violate other rules such as those concerning sexual content.
If the RP site you intend to advertise for includes gore or sexual imagery / rp, please advise staff BEFORE posting the advertisement.
Using the site or discord to personally recruit members for your own is counted as advertising. If you recruit multiple people from our community, without allowing us to in turn advertise on your platform, it will earn you a warn for every member recruited.
Rule 12: This is simply here to make sure nobody adds the spell of perma death in their bio and nobody notices. To get equipment into your bio, create a reply to your bio where you detail the stuff you add. Once a staff member responds to your reply with an "Approved" message, then your character will own it.
Rule 13: Simple. No bots. doing so will earn you a warn, or possibly ban if you go specifically out-of-line with this.
Rule 14: We most likely know that we have to reply to your post and are simply formulating a good reply. We understand that you want to keep your RP going but staff has more things in life to do than just work on the site. Please be considerate of this fact.
Rule 15: Simple. Don't mess with the bots in a way that makes it annoying for others in the server. It's rule 1 breaking-ish.
Rule 16: To maintain quality of posting, and reflect the style of roleplay we advertise, literacy rules are there. We consider 3+ sentences per post to be the minimum, or roughly 30 words. If you consistently fail to uphold literacy, you will be warned.
