Arcanic era A large period of time before the viro came to be. There is little to no proof as to what happened in this era of time, but many mythos have their way of explaining this era. All generally agree that this was the time that the world as we know it was shaped. Said time being roughly 27.500 years ago. There exist a plethora of mythos, all theorising how the world was created.
All-god The first mythos is one with two branches. It explains the arcanic era as a time where gods came to exist from a stronger "all-god", who was also the maker of the world. This all-god supposedly either created the gods as his children and was then killed by these children for his tyrany, or gave its life to create the gods to take care of the world. Either way, the gods were made to protect the world and its inhabitants. the viro were made at the end of this era so the gods could preserve their existence by leaving the task of preserving the world partially with the viro.
Demon lords The second mythos does not explain the creation of the world, but rather implies it had always existed. This was until the underworld created the gods as a form of super-demons. These gods, wanting domination over the world and not being able to fight in the underworld, used the overworld as a proxy battle ground. They themselves created demons to fight one another in this world, which slowly shaped itself over time. Eventually the previous god of war and fire, Helios, won this battle, and became the god of the underworld. The other gods still wanted dominion, and thus created viro to rule for them over parts of the overworld.
Multi-verse The third mythos implies that the world as we know it is simply one of many. It comes in a longer, larger timeline where the gods serve as protective spirits that guide the world to some better ultimatum. Thus the world was not created, but rather reborn during the arcanic era.
Broken bond The fourth mythos suggests that the gods were once all allies, who bounded together to create the world. The why and how on this subject is boggled. some think it was because the gods simply wanted to express their loves to what would be their new creation called viro, while others think they did this to serve as a bulwark against an unknown evil.
A hole in space The fifth and final widely believe mythos is that the worlds already existed. It was when a rupture in this form of existence came to be that mana began infinitely pouring into the world. The gods came with this rupture, and they decided they would protect the world they manifested themselves in as a form of gratitude for their existence being possible. Creating the viro was their attempt at creating sentinels of protection where they themselves could not come.
Actual creation
The all-god has always existed. For their own reasons, the all-god elected to create worlds. Each iteration a little different than the next. But each time, there would be one constant; Every iteration would start with the same 5000 draemora, children of the all-god, who would be pitted against one another to fight. These draemora would be able to use magic - a power otherwise reserved to the all-god. The influence of said magic would disperse during battles, causing the fertilization of lands. Over time as the draemora would fight, the planet would gain its shape and life would follow. But unlike the draemora, this life would be soulless.
The last iteration. This iteration. Something went wrong. All the draemora would, at the start of existence, be given their names by the draemora Dranleish. Each time the names would be the same. A kind of test, not unlike running diagnostics, to see if everything came out well. In this case, it did not. One name had come out different. However, in their curiosity, the all-god decided to continue the experiment. Some eons of fighting later, an odd thing happened. The first dragon was born; a creature born from nature, but somehow with a soul. This allowed the dragon to wield magic, much like the draemora, which terrified just about everyone. Soon, the draemora divided themselves into two camps. Those who wanted to create more dragons, and those who wanted to kill them off. Those in favour of killing the dragons gained support from the all-god, and soon after a war would break out unlike any before. The two sides clashed, with many draemora being banished from the world for their betrayal. While those banished draemora floated in the void, the remaining draemora pulled a trick. With the help of one particularly selfless draemora, the 'usurpers' managed to create the underworld. A parallel world to the overworld, in which the all-god held no dominion. Underestimating this fact, the all-god stormed the underworld personally to finish the usurpers off. In this final clash, many more draemora either died or were banished. But in the end, three draemora remained. And the all-god had been split into pieces.
Dividing the all-god among themselves, the three draemora - Krysomis, Sycropahs, and Relo - hid their fragments of the all-god away. Each vowed to keep them hidden, contained for all time. Each one, eventually, broke their promise.
In the wake of the new world order, the archaic era entered its second stage. Krysomis had assumed dominion over the underworld, from which he intended to rule the overworld as well. The draemora that were revived soon decided to fight back and war would start once more. Drawing inspiration from the dragons, the draemora (who had by now taken to calling themselves Gods) would summon the enormous ancient dragons to defeat eachother's armies. The overworld soon would become overfull with these enormous beasts which laid waste to everything, but also created anew all over again. Krysomis, desiring a trump card, decided to take a lifeform of his own creation and place within it the fragment of the Body. In doing so, he created Riachi 'the Dragonbutcher'. The name was fitting, because that was what the first vassal would immediately do. Thousands of the ancient dragons were felled by his hand, vastly diminishing the power draemora had. By the time they realised the fragment had taken control of Riachi's mind and turned him into an avatar of the all-god, it was too late. Another clash followed, and the Gods were nearly killed. What saved them was the 'evergaols'. Eternal prisons, little pockets of the underworld, in which the fragment would have no control. Imprisoning the fragment underground, they would soon forget the lesson learned. Sycropahs had by now vanished. Some believing him to be killed, while others believed him to be banished. In truth, he had left the world on his own accord, seeking a more permanent solution to the all-god problem.
Fast-forward a few millennium. With the fall of the ancient dragons, viro society rose. Realizing the cost-effectiveness of just letting your followers grow up by themselves, the Gods took a bit of a backseat, no longer resorting to full-on wars and instead just the occasional skirmish. Civilizations built by the Viro, through use of magic, wit and skill, rose up and fell. Dominion of the underworld was handed over from one God to the other as they claimed the central kingdom of Israel for themselves. Soon enough during the 10th century after Christ, a new fragment arose. The fragment of the soul, also known as the soulweaver, would lift entire armies up from the ground and send them to subdue civilizations. The fragment had been under Sycropahs' protection, but with him gone, no one was left to prevent this catastrophe. But against expectations, it was no disaster. Though the soulweaver did assault many civilisations, he did so only to reform their policies and end their practices of slavery, after which he would leave them to their own devices. Once the world had been rid of slavery, the fragment disappeared and no one knew to where.
When the 1900's came around, another unusual thing happened. A tear in space and time opened up over the united states in the midst of its civil war. From this rip came two people; 'The General', a Relo-iteration from a previous world. And 'Jane', the piece of reality that broke off made into flesh. They soon asserted themselves in america as a dominant force, ending the civil war and starting a faction meant to uphold the protection of the civilized world. The SRT - the supernatural response team - started out as a small ragtag team of superhero-like figures. Decades later, they had expanded into a proper private militairy force. Given another hundred years, and they were the first to be called upon when the US joined the theater of WW1. It was after that conflict that the SRT made itself into an international military superpower. The two Relo's, from this world and the other, maintained a mutual understanding. The Godly Relo would maintain the safety of the world from invasions from the void and beyond, while the General Relo would maintain law and order in the overworld.
But, in a misguided attempt to further this goal, the two would come to experiment on their fragment of the all-god. Soon enough, of course, something went wrong. The fragment escaped in as violent a fashion as could be conceived, destroying all life on the continent of Africa in the proces. An violent black spot in the history books that would be remembered as 'the Engima incident'. Luckily enough, no more attacks followed, as long as no one stepped foot on the continent.
In a vile twist of fate, however, a rogue paramilitary crime syndicate stumbled upon the evergaol of Riachi by chance. Opening it, they would accidentally release the fragment of the Body once more. Now, with all three fragments out free in the world, destruction of all life is surely at hand. Though hope is not lost; Sycropahs, draemora of time, left for a reason. He left to find a solution, and find it he did. For as time drew closer to the freeing of the three fragments, so too did a particular kind of people arise. The vassals, much like those unfortunate people who came to be possessed by the fragments, would come into the world. Seemingly selected by their efforts and merit through overcoming insurmountable odds, the vassals were chosen by Sycropahs to house the draemora who were once banished. It would be up to them to clean this mess; or make it worse.
Archaic age The prehistoric age, revering to the age in which earth was evolving from a dusty field of nothingness to a flourishing place of seas and forests. How this transformation happened ins unknown, but it is commonly believed that it was divine intervention. On the flip-side, new archeological discovers seem to be hinting that this metamorphism was actually the result of dead ancient dragons fertilizing the soil and air, effectively meaning that life was an unintentional side-effect to divine war.
The holy trinity To understand the creation of the holy trinity, one must first go back to see how the gods Arrior and Zerna came to be. Their story starts at the birth of Jesus Christ, a demigod to the former god of the underworld; Helios. Helios was a cruel and spiteful god, sadistic at best and cataclysmically destructive at worst. This demigod however was quite the opposite. Loving and kind, he helped people all over the middle east. Helios eventually grew annoyed by this, ordering his loyal Romans for Jesus to be crucified. Upon his crucifixion, the apostles became infuriated. They travelled to the underworld, and together they slew Helios. Their collective souls taking the place of Helios, creating the new god known as Arrior.
1400 years later, another demigod was born. This time a woman by the name of Jean d' Arc. A french woman, who came to lead the armies of the ambitious Luminus. God of light, who was making every effort to gain world domination through military force. Jean was a fierce champion, winning many battles for Luminus. But eventually, she grew concious of her actions. With regret in her heart, she refused to further battle for Luminus. Upon this, Luminus ordered her execution. An action that was stayed when it was instead Jean d' Arc who executed Luminus in his own realm. She took his place, and became known as Zerna.
The two viro that had become gods grew a liking for one another. Their stories were similar enough for them to align their forces, rather than war against one another like so many of their predecessors had done. Thus came the first real alliance between any god. This peace and selflessness drew in Solaris, a god known for his soft heart. And thus formed the holy Trinity.
Soulweaver wars During the 10th century, a sudden empire rose from the underbelly of france. One that rapidly subsumed the world by storm, based on the powers of a nigh mythical figure known only as the soulweaver. This figure was speculated to be a vassal who had the ability to create souls and thereby new life. Using this power, the soulweaver introduced the then-radical idea of equality. An idea he enforced upon the world at large through force- using entirely summoned armies of constructs and animonculi to topple countries. Many monarchies and establishments were brought to a swift end, but never truly conquered. The soulweaver armies simply went from place to place, all across the globe, to enforce their ideals on populations before swiftly departing. Yet these ideas did not take hold permanently. It was only 6 centuries later that gunpowder achieved what the soulweaver could not.
Revolutionary wars The revolutionary wars, which took place in the US and France, were some of the first grand gunpowder wars. It was in these wars that humans began to free themselves from their slavery.
First revolutionary war The first revolutionary war was in France, starting on 1792 and ending on 1802. This first revolutionary war where humans for the first time in history successfully overthrew their supernatural slavers permanently. This war was mostly won because gunpowder had developed so far that humans could be armed en-masse and thus empower themselves against the magic powers of the supernaturals. This war ended with a peace treaty, in which the french supernaturals vowed to abolish slavery in France, as long as they would be allowed to reside in their aristocracy without further prosecution.
Second revolutionary war The second revolutionary war, this one taking place in the US, had been the second spark that lit the flame of human empowerment. It was during this bloody war lasting from 1861 to 1865 that humans were able to completely abolish slavery on the new frontier. This particular war was incredibly bloody and spelled for many humans to be killed in the process. Thus it was during this age that many of the countries human traders, including firearms manufacturers, travelled to Europe and Russia to seek a safe haven from which they could profit off the war. Thus, at the end of this war, many of the rich humans had left, leaving the humans in the US to once again sign a peace treaty with the supernaturals to life in harmony, rather than to have a country ruled by humans.
WW1 The first world wide war-conflict in history, World War 1. Through a series of snowball effects, almost all countries on earth became consumed by the war. Magic of course played its role, allowing for the war to only cost more lives. 20 million to be exact. A vast majority of these deaths were humans. Aside from the 20 million deaths, another 25 million were wounded. This ranks world war 1 as the deadliest conflict in recorded history and most likely in all of history. On these battlefields, supernaturals held stronger power in one on one combat with their magic, but with how war methods had changed, so had this advantage. The one on one combat became virtually non existent as attackers were simply mowed down before getting to the next trench. And thus, the war ended on 1918 after a four year long war.
Communist revolution As world war 1 develops, the works of Karl Marx start to play a great role in Russia, whose peasantry has grown tired of the ruling class in Russia. A revolution starts, where 'the people' attempt to overthrow the ruling religious party. This revolution however fails, as the ruling party and their loyalists know how to use magic, while the revolutionists don't. In the end, the political sphere of Russia still changed, developing into what was called the Soviet union, or USSR. A fraction strongly religious bourgeoisie keep reigns with an iron fist, while implementing the ideas of Karl Marx to make sure the revolutionaries still got their communism. This caused for a severely tyrannical and destructive leadership, which ended in 1965.
WW2 The second world war was the world-wide conflict that followed world war 1. This war was fought between two parties. The SRT, supported by England, US, France, and USSR among many others. On the other side was the axis, which consisted of Nazi Germany, Italy, and China. This war lasted from 1939 to 1945.
European front The alliance of SRT grew quickly once England and Nazi Germany declared war upon one another. Though before hand, rumours existed that Nazi Germany and the USSR were working together on taking over Poland, most of those were ignored in the attempt to take down Germany, whose military technology trumped that of all others. Hundreds of thousands died, and millions were hoarded into the anti-magi concentration camps. Anyone who followed a religion, or had in the past, was thrown in to be killed. Bombs fell in every city, and most of Europe became occupied by the Nazi's. It took five years for SRT and the USSR to liberate them, though the USSR simply took them over for themselves.
Crys-cross front The name of this front might sound funny, but in all reality it was not. Shortly after the European front opened up, China started to take over many countries in Asia. For inexplicable reasons, the Chinese empire decided to send their fleet past Crysa and assault the US. This ignited the Crys-cross front, named after their battle theatre taking place on and around the islands of Crysa. A violent and dangerous continent, that caused deaths along the army ranks both through warfare and the beasts found on these uninhabitable islands. Countless bunkers and wreckages still remain at Crysa and its surrounding islands.
The end Italy was the first to fall to the nuclear attack of the USSR. A secret weapon that they had manufactured with the help of human scientist that had fled from Nazi germany. After this attack, Nazi germany quickly fell to the threat of nuclear weaponry and allied forces. China was the last to fall after a massive scale attack where SRT used a secret weapon of their own. The attack was a strike of a legendary dragon called Grigori, which dropped the Chinese population to half its original size by engulfing most of China in fire. It was after this conflict that the SPR started to take root in the resent of the Chinese and the fear of the USSR humans.
Reperations After the war was over, Germany was divided between east and west. Both Germany and Austria were held responsible for the happenings of world war 2, and were demanded to pay reparations. To avoid a third war, SRT decided to go a different route. Rather than taxing them and limiting the size of their armies, they enforced what was called the "third alternative de-enactment". In this reparation, German and Austria companies were forced to take a route of minimal cost when engaging in contracts with SRT. Weapons manufacturers, auto-mobile factories and other such companies were forced to work for SRT and only be paid the absolute minimal needed to execute those duties. So far, it's been the reason why SRT has been able to build such a massive and well-developed army.
The concordat of eight It took most other gods two world wars to realise that divine feuds were a relic of the past. After world war 2 had ended the gods Arrior, Zerna, Solaris, Nara, Gaya, Ygrosif, Cogniti and Justicia formed an alliance known as the concordat of eight. Their agreement brought about a long overdue peace between gods, who had spent most of history fighting one another over the dominance of the underworld. Some other gods, like Aria, Mortalis and Relo, remained neutral. They had no wish to join the alliance, but were well aware that destroying the present peace was in no-one's interest, and thus remained on the background.
Cold war The cold war was the USSR/SRT response to the shared nuclear threat between the west and the east. The USSR was angered by the fact that SRT had stolen the nuclear weapons plans and created bombs of their own, but also was scared of their influences due to their control over Grigori. The USSR decided to divide from SRT and develop the union on its own. A republic that expanded onto the lands it had conquered during WW2, and established itself well for the coming 20 years.
Russian civil war Around 1965 civil unrest in the USSR massively increased. The supernaturals who ruled the communistic system with an iron fist were being doubted because of research released in the east of Russia. This research proved that supernaturals evolved from humans, rather than the other way around. This meant that the supernaturals were not divine and thus by no means had a divine right to rule the USSR. Civil wars and border-collapse began to weigh down onto the USSR. On 1968, the USSR disbanded so the political leaders could save their skin.This caused for the end of the cold war, and the creation of the SPR in the east of Russia. The next years leading up to 2018, the countries previously under USSR rule became independent. The east half of what was now Russia became the independent state of SPR and with many human weapons industry kickstarters like Colt and Smith&Wesson, the army of SPR quickly developed to work as a strong all human army capable of overcoming magic advantages.
The enigma-incident Africa was once a habitable continent. With many different nations on its soil. That all changed on the 20th of February, 2016. A creature, called the enigma, came onto the continent. No one knows where it came from, what it is, or what it wants. All that is know is that it can kill anyone and anything instantly. By the time it was the 21st of February, 1.2 billion viro and countless animals and monsters were dead. Several counterattacks and invasions have been launched since, resulting in total loss of life every single time. It has caused quite some unrest, especially in the middle east where religous wars have skyrocketed in frequency ever since.
Siege of Jeruzalem Jeruzalem, ever since the enigma-incident, has been under almost constant sieges from different religious enclaves. A city held for over 300 years by Arrior, Zerna and Solaris collectively, have staved off attack after attack without fail. That was until 2020. A yet unidentified mage came right in the trail of a failed assault by Gaya extremists. Making use of the fearsome black blood disease, the dead and wounded on both sides quickly turned against the remaining soldiers. A bloodbath ensued, quickly resulting in total conversion of the city, including the champion of Solaris; Hefathus. The champion of Arrior, Leontis, also fell during this attack, leaving both the hailmerrymen and the spartans without a leader and these two very important gods without a champion to enact their rule. In response to this sudden take-over, a combined armed force of SRT and UAF assaulted the city. Intent on taking it by storm. Their initial assault however failed horribly, with their para-assault being annihilated by a particularly powerful dragon and their ground forces halted by well defended way points. Their greatest obstacle however became the conversion of their own soldiers. Simple contact with the black blood disease would turn soldiers to the side of the mysterious invaders, and so many conventional tactics fell obsolete. With no air support, converted infantry, and a lack of artillery the combined forces were forced to retreat and seek a less orthodox solution. The solution came in the form of ADF. Their faction had recenty made headway in the creation of a completely mechanised army. Robotic infantry, immune to the effects of biological disease, were sent in to support the ground troops. Taking several waypoints to turn the already present artillery guns against the invaders. Before long, the forces of SRT, UAF and ADF were breathing down Jerusalem's neck, and the walls were soon after breached with a 'wall-buster' small scale nuclear bomb. Yet once their forces rushed through the walls, a far greater problem presented itself...
The two-hour war December 1st 2020. Jerusalem is on the verge of being taken over. The world is rejoicing in their victory. Many are already celebrating. That is, until a horn sounds off in the distance. From the sky, a fog descends. Covering just about every mayor city, small towns and regions of the wild in a thick, cold mist. Portals are the cause of this, coming straight from beyond the void. Portals that deliver giant metal ships, drifting through the sky. The entire world falls into chaos, and for the first time since its creation, the interfectorum rank 5 'end-of-the-world' alarm is sounded. Every single soldier, bot enlisted and veterans, are called to arms. A devestating invasion takes place, leaving much of local defenses completely overrun by this unexpected assault. The war ends after two hours, and earth is victorious. No one seems to know how, or what happened. But at some point, the ships just started to fall from the sky. The many invading forces brutally dying on the spot with barely any sign of what caused the slaughter. Many came to speculate it was the doing of the Enigma, or the gods, but none can know for sure. "Shrimps" becomes the new denominating term to refer to these invaders, owing to their exoskeletons and body structure seemingly lending to the appearance of these animals. The crashed ships and broken robots are salvaged, relief efforts are set up for the victims, and earth begins to heal.
ULF uprising Following years of brutal civil war in China, their efforts finally bear fruit. The People's liberation army, the heretics, and the old hunters came together to form the United Liberation Front. This force proved enough to not only push the SPR out of China, but to lead a monumental charge that led to the fall of much of the SPR and its home territories. A series of swift, decisive battles was led by the ominous old hunters, which formed a devastating force. A great amount of casualties fell on the side of the SPR, and though they never officially surrendered, their presence has certainly dwindled to a flicker. Once the ULF rose to certain power, they established China as the first United Liberated Dominion, with east-Russia soon following suit. The individual dominions were allowed to retain their right to self-governance; but everyone pretty much knows that it is the ULF that truly holds the reigns.
The Usurpers Over the course of 2020 to 2023, a group of draemora asserts themselves and attempts - again - to reclaim the continent of africa. To their surprise, they are no longer met with the hostility of the Enigma. Making full use of this, the group of vassals who call themselves 'the usurpers' establish their presence on the continent. Using the things left behind, such as their gold reserves and military bases, they have armed themselves to fight off the void creatures lingering on the continent. They are rumored to have sent expeditions into Crysa, to have gathered an army of dragons, even to have gathered up an alliance with Aetheri survivors... All tall tales to be sure.
World war 3 It certainly seems like it. After having gathered power for three years, the ULF finally managed to wrestle control from the SPR entirely. At the start of 2024, an assassination goes as well as it possibly can, leading to many of the top-level commanders in the SPR to be killed. With the snake's head cut off, the ULF assimilate siberia and become a proper, full superpower with no contenders to its land. Not long after the move, the ULF struck up an alliance with the ADF, whom aid they called after a particularly nasty void creature reared its head. But the veil of justified rebellion soon fell; The ULF became clear about its intentions. To eradicate all draemora, no matter the cost. Vassals were rounded up, hunted down and imprisoned by order of their leader: Rasputin. A vassal with over a dozen draemora to his name, each and every one of them claimed through combat. Their belief that the draemora were the root of all evil would soon expand. In the summer of 2024, the ULF launched a fullscale invasion on Kyoto. With the SRT having diverted much of its firepower due to a misinformation campaign, Kyoto was effectively helpless to stop the invasion. The unconventional tactics and use of small scale tactical nukes pilfered from the SPR, the Japanese military was soon brought to heel despite their superior armed forces.

The four plains The four planes are the theorized planes of reality that exist within the universe. This theory is only partially proven.
Overworld The first plane is the overworld. This is where life, earth, and all of the observable reality is located. This enormous universe contains the world of viro, which we find ourselves in today.
Underworld The second plane is the underworld. This is where souls pass over to when their bodies die in the overworld. The gods are supposedly located in this plane too, but hold their own worlds within this world in the form of pocket dimensions. It is over this plane that Arrior rules. Mortalis, the god of death, is in charge of transitioning the souls to this world, and other gods reside here to take their charge of various souls. When souls transition onto this plane, they are transformed into demons or angels; depending on who claims their soul.
Void The third plane of existence is the void. This is simply the plane of inexistence and purgatory. Supposedly, beyond the void, one can find new worlds parallel to the overworld, but this has only been theorized. The void acts as a veil, overlapping and forming a border between worlds. It is not a place that can be entered, as the void is not actually a place, but rather a lack of place. By scientific description "A space of constant absolute vaccuum that cannot be filled, an anti-black hole" Positioned as a veil over everything everywhere constantly.Though a four-dimensional concept, it can only be explained in two-dimensional forms. 'inside' the void, distance becomes relative. The more time spent approaching the 'centre' of the vaccuum, the greater distance itself becomes. Thus one can constantly move towards the vaccuum without getting closer, but still getting further away from everything else. This relativity of distance can be exercised inversely. By spending time moving away from the 'centre', everything else becomes closer. This allows skilled mages to create portals to different places (and as the aetheri have proven, even to different dimensions) by adjusting the relative distance between two locations. Alternatively, moving perpendicular to the 'centre' allows one to adjust position in time, which could hypothetically allow for time travel, nothing so far has been found to allow one to be immune to the effects of this travel. Meaning that if one travels back in time, nothing will be noticed of the doingso, and the person travelling back will have no memory of ever doing so in the first place. The person performing this travel can not be immune to the aging, hunger and thurst, and as such moving forward in time is a sure fire way to perish from natural causes instantly if one attempts to travel further than a few days.
Limbo The fourth, unproven plane of existence is the Limbo. Limbo is a hard concept to grasp, as this supposedly holds all the information of every possibility of the different worlds. It is, essentially, the 'outside' of existence and in-existence.
Earth Earth is the planet upon which all known life exists. The planet holds a surface of 315,108,000 km3. Most of its surface is covered in water, take for its eight continents. These continents consist of Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, North America, South America, Antartica, Crysa, and Marina.
Europe Europe, lying on the west, houses a range of countries notorious for their massive power. It is in this very same area that the hailmerrymen and riesen-jagd armee was organised. Europe has a moderate climate, making it perfect for viro society to florish. Since WW2, most of Italy has become a nuclear wasteland. The most noteable cities in Europe are London, Berlin and St. Petersburg. London is a city of high society, having by far the highest population ratio of magicals. With grand, Victorian styled building. But as one branches out to the edges of town, the ratio of humans becomes more clear. And with them, comes crime. Besides the many magicals, London is also known for it's great cathedral of light. The largest religious building in the world, dedicated entirely to Zerna. Berlin is a central city. Having many people pass through the city, it has become something of a central trading hub to the rest of Europe. Of all cities in Europe, this one suffers the most of criminality. But due to the SRT presence, the wilds are practically neutralised entirely around it. Berlin also houses the international house of justice. An institution that hails Justicia and serves as a courthouse and prison for the worst criminals imaginable. St. Peterburg. The new capital of Russia after the civil war which caused Moscow to become uninhabitable. Often called the city of day, St. Peterburg suffers the dark of night precious little due to their location. At the midst of it's plaza stands the great pine of Yggrosif, at which people come to celebrate winter every year.
Asia Asia, on the east, has seen a rough patch in recent history. Between fire storms and hurricanes, this part of the world has suffered massively, causing for it to be massively dependent of SPR and be increasingly less tolerant of magic. Every day, more laws in these Asian countries are passed which negatively effect mages. The range of Asia is one that is set with desert and jungle with urban development practically restricted to coasts. Along the north of China, one can find the great wall. This great wall spans a stunning 21,196.18 kilometres in length. The north of this continent holds Russia, of which the largest part has come under control of SPR forces. Although SRT has more influence in Europe, SPR still holds the strongest military presence on this continent. In the north of Asia lays the capital of SPR. Sokol. A harbour city that has grown massively since 1968 when SPR came to power, and now houses the SPR's main base of operations. Religion and magic has been outlawed here. Being caught using it will have one be subject to 'prison'. Which is SPR language for execution. Kyoto. The only east-asian country that does not comply to SPR's influence. A city that has grown in technological developments leagues beyond what other countries have managed, making them a real and powerful seat of authority. It is known for it's enormous university, known as the university of Cogniti. Here, scientists and professors alike study the nature of the world and the developments of the world religiously (and that is to be taken literally). Beijing, part of China, is the city with the most people in the world. A location where so many people live, that there are plans to build a second layer on top of the current city. In this massive maze of civilisation, some rumours would have people believe Oiche houses her best shadow-army members here. Istanbul is technically speaking both in Europe and in Asia. But the majority of the city can be found in Asia, or rather the middle east. A region where the ADF rule and fight tirelessly against the constant insurgencies and religious war that rage. But Istanbul is much more peaceful, having much trade come through its gates. Jerusalem is a city of constant war. Religous crusades almost always target this city, for its most prized feature. Within the centre one can find the Mese-Palazi. A giant palace, with it's great hall housing a throne of solid gold, fit to seat a giant. This throne is called "The throne of the overworld". Symbollically, it is considered that whoever holds power over the throne is considered Lord of the Overworld - or Overlord - and thereby the supreme power of the realm.
Australia Australia is a continent notorious for its hostile environment. Few viro live here, and most are ancestors of outcasts and criminals. Regardless, Australia as both a continent and a country hold a large terrain with many valuable resources and have thus become a strong nation. They are massive SRT sympathisers, partially because they often require their military influence to keep their cities save from the rampant monsters on the land and sea.
Africa Africa is a continent south of Europe. Mostly savannah and desert with some jungle terrain. Until recently, the countries of Africa have been thriving and growing. Viro supposedly started development here and the most ancient cities can be found in the north of Africa. Take for example Cairo, which houses the ruins of the great pyramid of Giza which is still preserved for a rough 30%. However, the continent is now nothing but a ruin. Monsters have taken over cities in the wake of the Enigma event. An cataclysmic and sudden eradication of all viro life, that caused for all the defences in Africa to be lost. Some scavengers risk going here to collect the dormant loot here, but its a dangerous journey through badlands, scourging heat and many of the more lethal monsters still roam.
North-America North America holds two great nations known as USA and Canada, which are hotspots for SRT activity. They are highly developed nations that sprung around the 16th century. Since then, quite a few large cities have sprung up. Most notable are Toronto, New York (the base of SRT mobile forces) and Los Angeles and Vancouver. These enormous cities hold the size of a small state under them. But beyond the grand cities, little viro life can be found. The real noteable cities however are simply New York and Los Angeles. New York is, by far, the largest city in the world. Even Beijing dwarves in comparison to the cosmic size of New York. It is divided into multiple districts, which have their own state rights. The northern most districts (Vermont and new hampshire) border on Montreal, which has its city walls connected to those of New york. To the west, the walls stop along the sides of the Pittsburg district. And finally in the south, the walls cross back into the sea at Washington. The walls of new york and Toronto are only about an hour's drive separated from one another. The city is filled with a variety of different viro, with one ruling culture of pride. SRT houses it's head quarters on Staten-island, in the midst of the great city. Aria holds her Riesen-jagd workshop here, which is visited by holy hunters from every corner in the world. Los Angeles lays at the western shores, where stars are born and the wild west last forever.
South America Unlike the north, the south takes up a very tropical area. With enormous tropical forests, as well as arid mountains. It is rumoured that the Xerna HQ is nestled somewhere within the enormous Amazon rainforest that takes up most of the continent. Though these are just rumours, it is obvious that criminality is rampant here. South America sports two great cities. One located in Mexico which is creatively named 'Mexico city'. This city borders both on desert and sea, cross over from one side to the other on this thin part of the continent. Unlike other cities, Mexico city does not sprt noteable walls around
Antartica Antartica is a grand plain of snow and white with the odd volcano. A beautiful place, with little to no viro life. There is not much to be told about this place, as it holds no significant history. IT has simply always been uninhabitable, even to most monsters and beasts.
Marina Marina is a large archipelago located in the Atlantic ocean, between South America and Africa. This archipelago consists of small woodland and green islands, which surround "Needle islands". Needle islands are singular islands which solely consist of a single summit. This summit often reaches above a kilometre and looks like a needle reaching into the sky.
Crysa Crysa is a landmass between Asia and North America. this landmass is known for three reasons. the first being its high crystal density, which has gained it interests from mages everywhere. The second reason is the islands surrounding the landmass which have been dubbed the "Clawed atolls" which are atolls, with smaller islands dotting their middle. From the surrounding atoll, one can see spherical rock formations curve over the middle island. These spherical rock formations look like claws reaching out from below to grab the island above. The third reason is a massive ravine in the landmass known as hell's gate. Inside this hard-to-traverse ravine, many escaped demons can be found. The many thousands of cave systems and the enormous ravine has caused for them to stay trapped below, while the world above can only gawk at them from atop, hoping to catch a glimpse of one of the demons.
SRT - American HQ The American bound HQ of srt, and with it the largest military complex on earth, is the main headquarter of the SRT. Located in New York, just outside New York city, this military base can be found. It is a grand 152 km2 large and consists of multiple bland cement structures and 12 runways, 4 of which are fit for take-off and landing of boeing 747's. The HQ is fitted with several commodity installations such as barracks, administrative offices, armories, minor test facilities, training facilities and life support. It is here where one can find "The general". This also the spec-ops outfall base.
Due to the sheer size of this facility, it also sports its own nuclear reactor. And if you thought the surface area along was already absurd, you'd be well-informed to know that most of the buildings go multiple levels both above ground and underground. The south side houses a nuclear bunker fit to house over half a million people for three months.
Restricted info for Xerna associates only The Xerna HQ is located in the Brazil amazon, on the border with Peru. The base itself is a large, mostly subterranean complex. It was built around 1950 and still holds many of its old furniture. It was built with the intents and purposes of serving as a "Emergency city" in the case of nuclear destruction across the globe. Once the threat faded, the few members officials that were aware of its existence had already been silenced by the assassin. Most of its construction workers now holding jobs as staff members for Xerna or resting 6 feet underground.
The complex starts out at a cave mouth not far off from a neglected but paved road leading to Peru. About 50 metres inside the tunnel, a large metal blast-door turned checkpoint can be found inside made to withstand indirect nuclear blasts, making it practically impossible to destroy. Beyond this gate lays the main personnel rooms. An even larger tunnel with the many faculties of the base along its sides. There are two marginally larger rooms. the first being the armory, which houses all the weapons and armour that the base contains, save for some smaller private storages in other places. but this is not all it houses. the armory also houses the artillery, ammo and fuel for the vehicles and all the food and water of the facility. For the water, there is even its own filtration system directly hooked up with the amazon river. The other room, or rather system, is the living quarters. these take up 25% of the base size, range in multiple levels downwards, and house thousands of smaller rooms. Each of these rooms are either mess halls, 4 person bedrooms, or sanitary rooms. For each 4 person bedroom there is one sanitary room. For each 100 bedrooms, there is 1 messhal. In total, this accounts to 10 messhalls, 10 000 bedrooms and 10 000 sanitary rooms. there are 10 levels in total to these living quarters, the ground level having larger rooms and corridors to house giants. Besides the massive living quarters and storage of the armory, the Xerna base holds many more rooms. For example, the offices. These are high end living quarters for the officers and ravenholm soldiers. They also hold the offices at which the many soldiers can come to. There are the shops, which sell high quality equipment for the good soldier. The jail cells, medical wards, recreational area, labs, bar and other such areas hold not many more remarkable things. The only part of the base that is not subterranean is the hangars. This is set in a seemingly naturally occurring in-cave of the ground which in truth is a artificial hole. On this surface, the many planes, helicopters, tanks and other such vehicles are stored and launched. Through a mixture of heavy forage, scrambling equipment and bribery, this weak point has remained undiscovered. The power for all these facilities are provided from below the hangars. Here, a small nuclear reactor can be found. This reactor was decommissioned by the Brazilian government after the base was abandoned. But with the grand funds of the Xerna organisation, it was covertly put back into working condition.
Aetherium Novalis The latest of worlds conquered by the Aetheri Invictus is a realm known as Aetherium Novalis. A gas giant, upon which the Aetheri have their home baes float on the upper stratosphere. The aetheri live here in relative peace, having assimilated the local wildlife into their machines, and integrated the people into their society. They bide their time from here, organising their second attempt at colonizing earth. But straits are dire, and energy is no longer sufficient in its provision of all citizens. Besides the floating bases, the rest of this place is simply a an enormous cloud of gas. But even within this desolate place creatures still live. All of which fly constantly, much like a fish can do naught but swim in the ocean.

Hailmerrymen The hailmerrymen were warrior priests that served Arrior. The group was created in 1048 A.D., and was disbanded in 1265 A.D. They served under a peculiar symbol of the sun, which they included on all of their regalia. Their mission was to spread the word of Arrior through selling their service as sellswords. Aside from this, they also researched new forms of fire magic. In this research, their ultimate goal was to create a living fire. They came close to achieving this goal, but never truly succeeded. Hailmerrymen were almost always equipped with full on plate armor. Thie armor was colored white with a light yellow tint. On the chest of the armor was the large sun-symbol, and their helmets were designed to look much like the head of a lion, with the manes acting as sun rays. This armor was heavily inspired by Solaris, who was a god that was allied with Arrior and acted as a constant guide to the hailmerrymen. Unlike most groups at this time, the hailmerrymen did not discriminate against non-supernaturals, which surprisingly made them one of the founding fathers for species equality between naturals and supernaturals.
Riesen-jagd armee A collection of monster hunters that served in the Alps under the banner of Austria. The monster hunters, loyal to both the throne and Aria, hunted monsters in a very particular manner. Unlike other hunters they rode griffins into battle. They used both holy wind magic and their griffins' capabilities to destroy even monsters of the draconic kind with ease. They were often nicknamed "Thunder hunters" and have been an example for airforces ever since. It has been assessed through history that the Riesen-jagd armee was the first airforce battalion in history, being organised in the early medieval ages. Their methods are still looked back on to to this day and have been the source of many weaponry ideas such as homing missiles and freefall bombs. Their tactics have been inspiration for dogfighting techniques too.
Samurai and shogun Unlike other countries, Japan has a very peculiar governmental system due to it's detachment from most of main society for a long time. This has caused for the empire of japan to take on a peculiar political figure. In Japan, the country is divided in provinces, each of which is under the protectorate of a shogun. This shogun is seen as a regional ruler, adhering to the emperor. Every city and town within the province is under the rule of a samurai, who takes up the role of mayor. Besides this status as ruler of town, a samurai is also considered a spec ops tier fighter, capable of using both magic and sword. These are almost always elementals. Samurai, shogun and emperors are elected by the clergy. The clergy consists of the several religious organisations within japan that, in accordance with the amount of members they have, get more votes within the elections. For every 100.000 citizens under its organisation, it is given a single vote. Champions as individual residents are by law valued at the same worth as 1.000.000 citizens when it comes to votes. Should a champion be a citizen of Japan, they are highly likely to become Emperor. The high reference to religion and supernaturals (as well as a bad history with china) has caused for the empire to become a heavily anti-SPR and pro-SRT positioned.
The Witnesses An anti-SRT organization demanding their reduction of power and influence, rallying behind the Chinese Massacre of 1945. Their demographic is mostly Oriental in origin, of all races in that region. Several virotarian organizations rally behind them as well, still enraged at the occurrence. They also oppose the SPR and Xerna, seeing them both as terror organizations. As an alternative to the SRT weakening, they would move the money into strengthening the individual military forces of countries. Some branches of The Witnesses seem to have a slight positive view on the SPR though.
The Clergy Party They fervently believe that religion and gods should have greater influence in the political side of things. They also believe champions should have their own seats in the government, since they were chosen by the Gods themselves. An interesting thing to note is that a majority of the organization's leaders are Atronachs and Elementals. Unsurprisingly, a number of different churches support them. They are neutral on the SRT, but oppose the SPR for their anti-magic agenda. They have a very mixed view when it comes to Xerna, however, and the general agreement is that Kalin is leading her own church in some odd way.
The Innovators A Pro-SRT organization that supports their motives and goals as peacekeepers and monster slayers. They are made up of mostly the middle classes, and their most prominent race is human. They also strongly support various industries, to the point where they believe they should decrease taxes on all. They oppose the SPR and Xerna and the chaos they cause. Interestingly, a good amount of them support the SRT having increased presence in places where their presence is very evident already.
Magi-families Many revere the old families of magicals. These are families of great size and influence, often descendant of ancient royal bloodlines. Most of them are elves, who are naturally close-knit and are known for their longevity.
Qua-zel A dark elf family, especially considered influential in north italy. Said to have predated the roman empire, this family was well known for its meddling in politics and provision of mercenaries. To this day, SRT forces are supported by the Qua-zel and their ranks hold some of their members. Their lesser members may not be wealthy, but they are certain to grow up with training for warfare at a young age.
Geolughan-wang, 거룩한 왕 The high elves of the south korean coasts are revered for their highly developed magical capabilities. Smart and capable, the Geolughan-wang have taken over south korea and become devout supporters of capitalism and trade, their own members being exceptional at driving trade as much as they are mages. Among SRT ranks to this day exist members of the Geolughan-wang, either working economical tasks or as mages.
An ceangal A wood elf family stretched far across the irish and scottish wildlands. The An Ceangal are devoted to Gaya and live in the most primitive version of civilisation. Their acclimatisation to living in the wilds has made them excellent at dealing with monsters, which makes them valued monster hunters in the ranks of SRT, Xerna and UAF alike. Though rarely found in modern civilisation, as they are recluse.
Jotun Misleadingly called frost giants, the snow elves of scandinavia are influential among all of its countries, as well as parts of serbia. Holding close to arctic climates, the Jotun hold a major power in their realms. Their acclimation to the cold climates have made them quite capable of surviving in the wilds and their icey feel.
The house of Hanover The royal family of the British isles is well know across the world. Their family consists mostly of light and water elementals, with their ancestors being heavily populated with diviar. All of them privileged and very influential. Their history is seeded deep with many countries across the world, most of which are still loyal to the family. Thus, the family has become invaluable to SRT.
Champions Champions are servants of gods, who are lent power by their god to become incredible warriors upon activation. Each god can only have one champion at a time, and this position is not gained easily. Unlike most religious positions, championship isn't given out of sheer commitment, but also on basis of one's soul and powers. Only the gifted are given this position to fight for their god. Some gods do not have a champion, and thus are open for a new champion to gain said title. Who knows, you might be a candidate.... (currently open positions: Nara, Arrior, Gaya, Oiche, the mad god, Miras, Solaris)
Demigods Demigods and goddesses are the result of a god and a viro creating a child. The viro is always required to be female since she has to bring the child back to earth. Demigods are created out of the need from gods to have strong dedicated followers who could serve them well during wars or moments of weakness. The viro is brought to the realm of a god by an angel, which is a dangerous process. A simple superficial cut or common cold could get the viro killed in the travel to the realm.
Vindicators Vindicators are powerful viro who have come to hate a god or gods. Besides this hatred, they also hold magical power so grand that they can go toe-to-toe with champions. In some rare instances, such Vindicators have even far surpassed the power of champions and become a danger to society as it is known. They generally use unholy magic and derive their sole pleasure from obstructing and attacking the gods.
The general An elusive man known for being the current leader of the SRT and champion of Relo. He can be easily recognized by his hardened, chiselled look and eyepatch. He is angry in demeanor and thus is better left alone. Not much is known about the general, aside from that he is much older than he looks as he has in fact fought during the world wars.
Jane The outspoken alcoholic high priestess of Zerna known simply as Jane. She is the sister of the SRT's general and works in the SRT's American Hq where he can keep an eye on her at all times. Asides from being alcoholic, she is also a high elf. Her long posture and general lack of responsibility makes her quite intimidating when she is at her favourite bar.
Kalin The champion of Krysomis and leader of the spec ops cell 'Ravenholm' that operates under Xerna's command. She is a cruel and malicious woman with a fearful amount of power. She is a red haired and fair looking woman, but one should not take this appearance for weakness. After all, she is the most wanted terrorist in Brazil, as well as a highly searched for terrorist in other countries across the world. Her wanted position is partly contributed to by the fact that she uses an illegal form of magic known as blood magic. This is an unholy form of magic that allows the caster to take direct control over someone elses body.
Fearnites Evidence from a variety of fossils and preserved remains have revealed the existence of what are essentially Fern-based ents. Carbon based specimen have dated their deaths from the late Jurassic period all the way to a mere century ago, the most recently deceased having been found in the Himalayan mountain range. It is speculated that there are approximately a dozen of these prehistoric creatures remaining in deep hibernation. These trees should be sentient, and thus can possibly hold more knowledge over the history of the world than even most gods do.
Arcanic era viro It is a commonly known fact that the end of the arcanic era was ushered in by a rapid growth of viro numbers and their influence. The most prevalent change was the evolution from viro with many new species such as the elemental and giant. But before this drastic change came, there were estimated to be only three or four species of viro. Diviar were the most powerful off all. They were created as offspring between ancient dragons and giant angels, regarded by the gods at first as a bastardisation but later as a powerful tool. Their influence on the world has always been massive, attaining positions of leadership everywhere. Some theories suggest that halflings between diviar and humans are the actual reason why viro species of the magical branch evolved. Humans were the most prevalent. They had the vast majority of population and were the bulk servants of gods on earth. They quickly proved themselves more useful than other demons, angels and such creatures due to how independent and surprisingly smart they could be. From them, most of the species evolved. Several theories float around about this subject. Some would say that humans naturally evolved into different species, whilst others suggest that magic or even divine influence had a play in their greater changes. Dragon-kin were around during the arcanic era as well. They have a long history with the ancient dragons. Most theorists suggest that dragon-kin are the result of evolution from dragon species. From them, it is suspected that some of the beast species have evolved. But such theories remain mostly ungrounded. A fourth species existed during the arcanic era, which are only known as Sahelanthropus. This viro species went extinct before the arcanic era ended. Whether the entire species simply evolved into a different species of viro, or died through some other reason. Most theorist blame their low melatonin levels for their extinction since this lowers the immune system and has effect on the sex drive, meaning the species might have been more apathetic towards procreation in comparison to mammals.
Grigori The legendary first dragon, and first naturally born creature to harness the power of magic. Its form has been the inspiration for ancient dragons. In recent history it has only been seen once, casting a cloak of fire over all of china. Withered and old, it rests at an unknown location of SRT, where it resides as their WMD should the need arise. The only reason nukes haven't started flying yet, is because Grigori flies faster.
Soulweaver The soulweaver was an slave in the 10th century. He came to unlock a birthmagi of immense power, one that allowed him to create and alter souls. He used this magic to create many creatures such as the constructs, stonehearts, gargoyles, golems and other creatures alike. He carried a campaign to free slaves and take down the religious rulers, before disappearing. His final resting ground is still being searched for to this day.
Enigma A creature of utter destruction. No one knows what it is. No one knows what it wants. All that is known is that for some reason it is confined to Africa, and will kill anything that crosses into its borders.
Riachi An illustrious mage of immense power. Riachi is considered to be the creator of the black blood disease, but besides this fact is also capable of magic beyond what even champions are capable of. No one really knows where he came from, or why he has a vendeta against the gods. But there have been reports of him "Just showing up, out of nowhere, like he owns the damn place" and asking random people to make a deal with him. These appearances often come paired with time/space distortion, mass hypnotism and teleportation.
The Leech The nickname for the catalyst of the black blood disease. The Leech is an almost skeletal creature, with tight strung black skin stretching over its body. With long claws, four tentacles at its back, and a jaw like that of an angler fish, it can be called "humanoid" when one squeezes their eyes long enough.
David Frighte Leader of the band of unnamed vassals, dragons, aetheri and troublemakers that have set up shop on africa since 2022. David is a considerable fire mage, much like his father and mother. Unlike them though David also really, REALLY hates the SRT. The group under his leadership is considered to be responsible for the soulweaver's eventual death, and the swiftness by which the two-hour war took place. Considered second place in the draemora count; David possesses seven draemora within himself.
Sarah Frighte Sister of David and often nicknamed "The lady of the worlds". Sarah has the uncanny, innate ability to pass in and out of the void, allowing her to teleport rapidly, even to different worlds and dimensions. For her, going to the underworld is as easy as taking a single step. After the 2016 enigma incident, she had disappeared for several years, only to be later found in south america where she turned out to be several decades older. Appearantly, she had spent some time in the aetheri world and made some friends along the way. She is now the unofficial leader of the aetheri remnants that have stuck around after the two-hour war.
Vladimir Rasputin / James Harlow Two names, often referring to the same person. Some reports state 'James' started out as an assassin in China, working for political parties to eliminate competition in 2020. Other reports state Vladimir Rasputin was a human trafficker active in SPR-russia in the 1980's. Those same reports state James Harlow was a high ranking member of the Blinds in the 1980's, and a completely seperate individual. Yet, other reports state Vladimir Rasputin is the leader of the ULF since 2023. In short: None of the reports make sense. But what we can agree on is that 'Raz' often goes by 'the grey hunter' due to his proclivity to hunt down and collect draemora. Current estimates say he is in possession of over a dozen draemora souls.
Saint James Many gods have tried to kill the all-god and all have failed. But so far, one vassal and one viro have succeeded where they failed. Saint James is the later viro; An elf who was not born a vassal, but rather took their draemora (plural) by force. Known previously as Vladimir Rasputin, or James Harlow, he was responsible for the ULF uprising and subsequent prosecution of vassals in the asiatic region. After a showdown with a group of vassals, Vladimir agreed to help fight the all-god in Jerusalem. He did just that; succeeding in killing the Enigma and robbing it of its all-god fragment. He has since disappeared; but the erection of several 'churches' in his name indicate he may very well still be active.
Shaman A well-paying field to work in is being a shaman. Be it to repel wild beasts as a tamer, cast fake light in underground farms or use water magic to create fertile fields. Being able to protect cities and feed them is as much a vocation as being a doctor is. With high level of education and even higher paygrade, many upper class citizens are mages trained in agricultural magic arts.
SRT X division, Spec ops The special operatives of SRT's X division are among the best fighters in the world, with unique birth magi's that lend them distinct powers for battle.
Bushman (KIA) - Pre-dating the enigma incident, Bushman was the head of the Spec Ops division. His real name is Martin Frighte, father to David Frighte. He was especially renowned for his mastery of fire magic. Though unlike the other spec ops, he did not have a birth magi to call his own. It was through his own sheer capacity and skill that he rose to the top. A born soldier and warrior, through and through.
Firecracker (KIA) - It had first been considered taboo; that the leader of the spec ops division would be married with one of the team members. But anyone who knew fire cracker - Elenore Frighte - knew all too well that the likes of her would not be intimidated by status. Firecracker was renowned for using every kind of fire magic, but also for her creative use of said fire magic to turn the tide of battle. Evidence indicates that during the enigma incident, firecracker somehow managed to survive on the african continent for several days before dying. No one is exactly sure how.
Lady luck - Starting out as a professional poker player in las vegas, Lady luck quickly rose to be banned from many casinos after it became apparent that her birth magi allowed her to constantly win against all the odds. That birth magi being plain old luck. Lost for any way to earn money, she signed up to SRT. Here, she experienced a series of absurdly fortunate events that led her to become not only a member of X division, but also survive many missions that would have been her death, and accumulating enormous wealth in the process. Nowadays, she is the proprietor of most of the casinos in las vegas beside her job as X divisionist. In 2016, on her way to the first (and last) counter offensive on the enigma incident, Lady luck's parachute failed, causing her to fall right into the sea rather than land by parachute onto the coast. Miraculously, she survived the fall without a scratch, and is one of two survivors of this counterattack. The rest of her team died before or shortly after landing on africa.
Tall tale - In his earlier days, Tall tale made his money by going bar to bar, telling fantastical stories and - upon being challenge to prove himself - making bets and winning them. His birth magi allowed him to become more and more able to successfully fullfill the bet, depending on how much the object upon which the bet is placed is worth to the bettor. The more precious the item one bets with, the more likely Tall tale is in succeeding and thus winning the bet. The downside to his birth magi however is that he is a compulsive and grandiose liar. At any given opportunity, he will tell impossible stories of great feats he has allegedly performed, earning him his name; Tall tale. When hired into SRT, command was initially skeptical of him, considering his compulsion to lie. But his abilities proved too great to be let go to waste.
Mirrorman - Once a peddler of crystalline of all kinds. Mirrorman became a spec ops soldier through his amazing abbilities to use reflective surfaces to his advantage through numerous ways. Firstly being able to transport himself into any reflective surface, and exit them (thus allowing him to go anywhere with a mirror instantly). Secondly being able to physically manipulate any crystalline object to be used at his will. And thirdly, being able to weaponise mirrors by means of attacking through them.
Doppleganger - A changeling with the ability to not just mimick the physical appearance of his viro enemy, but also mimick their weapons, magics, and even birth magi. This makes him both an excellent combatant, and spy, as he can succeed in virtually any test to prove his 'identity'.
Dead eye (KIA) - A one eyed sniper with the visual capability that puts hawks to shame. She is a rare case of an SRT spec ops soldier without any birth magi. Rather than this, she has an absurd perceptive ability that makes her incredibly dangerous with a sniper rifle. Dead eye is said to have died during the enigma incident, but some other reports conflict with this; stating she died later on during a conflict in south america in 2022.
Brawn (KIA) - Quite simple, quite deadly. Brawn possesses superhuman strength. Able to win an armwrestle with a dragon, Brawn favours the use of his giant unwieldy sword for combat. A sword that reaches an insane 10 metre length, and broadth of half a metre. Weighing over 100 kilos, only a man like Brawn could swing this around with disregard. Brawn died during the enigma incident, alongside several other members.
The Bachelor (honourably discharged) - The spec ops field surgeon, and renowned combat medic. Known for his abbility to use unique blood magic in order to keep his teammates alive. Not all that much is known about the surgeon, except that he turned scholar and left SRT in 2016 after the enigma incident.
Wrangler (honorably discharged) - A gun-ho cowboy. Both before and after the enigma incident, Wrangler was known mainly for one thing; Survival. No matter how bleak the odds, somehow, someway, wrangler always managed to come out alive. Even when the deck was obviously stacked against him. During the mission that got him his status as spec ops soldier, Wrangler survived an encounter with a dragon attack that destroyed his convoy, after which he spent a week out in the wilderness. Search and rescue reported to have found him 'wrangling a chort'. Thus the nickname. He managed to survive the enigma incident as well, alongside Lady Luck. But some years afterwards, Wrangler decided he'd had enough of SRT and left. It has since been rumored that Wrangler has joined up with David Frighte.
Crow - Famous for his efforts in Intelligence gathering - and the writer of this fabulous document you're reading right now. I am in fact a draeis; a type of dragon known for its small size and magical prowess. I may or may not have accidentally used a permanent polymorph spell to end up looking like I do. Xerna Omega squad, Spec ops The special operatives of Xerna. They are infamous for their abbilities, and all dangerous criminals.
Zetta (KIA) - A man dualwielding swords of light. An excellent swordsman, but even more so dangerous due to his birth magi which allows him to instantly teleport anywhere within eye-sight, without consuming any mana nor taking up any casting time. Allowing him to attack someone head-on, from behind. It also makes him quite the capable infiltrator.
Alpha (KIA) - Heightened strength, heightened perception, and a love for bullets. Alpha is a walking tank, powering through any obstacle with the power of his birth magi; As long as his enemy is within 50 metres range, he never misses. That may sound somewhat unimpressive, but one must realise that walking into a regiment of soldiers, firing an LMG on full auto without bothering to aim, and then still being able to kill the entire regiment within seconds....That is, indeed, impressive.
Beta - Alpha's younger brother. And a gunslinger just like him. He shares the same birth magi, except his is strictly limited to long range, and automatic weapons are off the table. If Alpha is a menace up close, Beta is from afar.
Lima - A man with the abbility to brainwash any single person instantly. If he says you have to kill your best friend, you will. As long as you can hear his commands, you WILL obey. Luckily, this power is limited to face-to-face contact only. This power combined with a television broadcast would otherwise surely lead to massive catastrophe.
Phi - Also referred to as "phoenix", Phi is a particularly old revenant from unknown origins. Both a prolific fire mage and brawler, he is best recognised by his unusual appearance; Ash-stained bandages that cover the whole of his body, typically with some ragged and burnt clothes overtop of them. He fights using sharpened chains he has wrapped around his forearms and fists. According to reports, he uses some unknown technique to mix both blood and fire magic for brutal combat results.
Aetheri Invictus The Aetheri invictus is an empire constructed on the sole principle of a single technology; The placing of souls into machines. At some point the original founders - The decapodians - found a technology which allowed them to perform this great act. Through it, they circumvented death and became immortal. Placing their souls into robots and machines to live on forever. But this came at a price. With an ever increasing, undying population, resources inevitably become scarce. Driven to find new sources of life, a figure known as the navigator lended the Aetheri a hand. Teaching them how to jump to different worlds through great machines. Since then, the Aetheri Invictus have been going from world to world. Harvesting their newfound resources and assimilating any willing subject into their ranks, while using those who objected as simple fuel. Their travels led them through many worlds, yet they could not allow themselves to settle in any place as their constant need for more resources drove them onward. To this day, the Aetheri collectively pray to their machine god - the navigator and the collective of all gathered souls - for guidance and protection.

Icarus faced persecutors with sword and magic while the soldiers escaped. In his bravery, Solaris rewarded him. With no less but flaming replacements for his wings. With this strong spell, Icarus was able to defeat many enemies before falling himself to their numbers. The fellow soldiers were saved, and his story was kept in memory as the very guideline for any good Arrior and Solaris follower to hold to. Mohammed's golden ageIn the middle east, it is common practice to hail the traditions of Mohammed. A demi-god who once long ago united much of the middle east and africa under a single banner, and issued a golden age for all under his protection. This historical figure does however cause one major problem, that has caused war to rage constantly ever since his death; What god was his father? The Soefitte believe Gaya to be the creator. The Pax Aetheria was an empire formed by the Aetheri, a race of shrimp-like people who discovered the art of wielding souls for the means of industrialism and war in the form of powersources. To the Aetheri, who's homeworld draemora died long ago, magic is a foreign and ungraspeable concept. They instead rely on the power of souls, which in their eyes are biologically produced sources of nuclear power. They aren't quite wrong about this, as magic is essentially the power to bend the radioactive 'mana-rays'. To make the Aetheria's view of this more relateable; Imagine if someone had the power to bend Gamma-rays, or Beta-waves. That is what wielding magic seems like to them. With their widely available and quite powerful sources of souls, they have been able to craft many amazing machines that work on the mana provided by these souls as if they were tiny nuclear reactors. Culturally, they disagree with using the souls of their own people for this purpose. They instead use Aetheri souls to power sentient robots, considering this to be the closest thing to an after ife that they can get. For the Aetheri, dying in combat in a biological form is a rare occurrence. The robots do the fighting; and when they are destroyed then the soul can simply be recycled into a new robot until the soul runs out of power or is destroyed through some other means. This has made their culture to be quite reverent of these combat robots; considering them to be guardian ancestors that watch over them and protect them. In order to fuel their ever growing need for resources for their ever expanding empire, the Aetheri rely on strong expansionism. With the ability to generate enough mana-rays to open a hole to a neighbouring world, they continually colonise and 'harvest' other worlds for new souls. They have been so reliant on the method, that using methods such as cloning or farming is considered a cowardly and dishonourable way of creating new souls. The Aetheri refer to souls as 'Tiberium'. And different kinds of fuel sources are amptly named 'Tiberium fusion cores' or 'Tiberium fuel cells'. Among their machines are; - Sentient robotics, referred to as 'ancestrals' - Levitating warships of varying sizes, equipped with Tiberium-charged cannons - Tiberium power plants - Small 'tiberium cells', animal souls used to fuel small arms - Medium 'tiberium cells' derived from larger creatures and monsters, containing a singular soul used to fuel heavy arms Anything found within the Pax Aetheri borders that has moving parts can be assumed to be powered by some form of tiberium. As long as the status is applied, the victim will progressively and rapidly lose health. Stacking of this effect leads to the increase in severity, but can not be applied doubly. Any form of healing will lessen this status.
Poison Typically inflicted with certain types of substances or magic. The poison status can come in a minor, moderate, or major variety. As long as the status is applied, the victim will progressively and slowly lose health. Stacking of this effect leads to the increase in severity, but can not be applied doubly. Specific forms of healing are required to stop this effect; regular healing will only recover health, but not lessen the status.
Break Typically inflicted with blunt damage. The break status can take a minor, moderate, or major form- depending on which a specific status is lowered by -1, -2, or -3 respectively. They can be applied once per available limb and break-status damage to specific individual limbs will increase the severity. Any form of healing will lessen this status. Stun Typically inflicted by shock damage. The break status can take a minor, moderate, or major form- depending on which the victim will be unable to move or perform actions for 1, 2, or 3 rounds respectively. Status can not be healed. The 'shock' status is a subtype of stun damage that only applies to non-organic lifeforms.
Silence Typically inflicted by radiation damage. The silence status will stop the victim's capacity to use spells while afflicted. This status lasts for as long as they are exposed to radiation damage. Additionally, long term radiation damage can lower specific stats at random.
Burn Typically inflicted by fire damage. The burn status can take a minor, moderate, or major form. Stacking of this effect leads to the increase in severity, but can not be applied doubly. Exposure to water, wind, or respective damage types will stop this status effect completely.
Dismemberment Typically caused by massive amounts of damage. The dismemberment status causes permanent status decreases that can only be fixed through prosthetics. Arm: -3 STR Leg: -3 DEX Eye: -3 PER Ear/nose: -2 PER
Mana leakage A birth defect called mana leakage is a syndrome which causes for the soul to continuously leak mana, thus causing for the patient to require regular shots of mana. This disease is often associated with type 2 diabetes, due to the way the mana leakage is both worked and treated. Symptoms are also alike to that of diabetes, as a patient will suffer from fatigue, muscle ache, painful perceptive organs, poorly healing wounds, and infections that seem to return often. This is atributed to the fact that the body-aura have to work overtime to keep the body working. Normally, the aura helps in this process, but due to a low amount of mana the body will end up doing most of the work.
Birth magi Birth magi are a special form of locked potential inside the soul, which can only be unlocked by overcoming a massive obstacle. It is incredibly differentiating per individual. The only thing that is known for sure is that the birth magi comes with every person. The power that comes from unlocking this can vary from a super-regenerative mana pool to being able to create sources of light at will.
Revenancy effect A syndrome that only revenants suffer from. When a revenant dies too many times, then it will begin to find itself showing symptoms of it. Thus it is common among the older revenants. The effects of the syndrome vary vastly per individual. The most common form of the syndrome is permanent scarring which can often be found on the revenants that tend to fight. Another common form of the syndrome is memory loss. This form is seen often among the older revenants. Other, rarer syndrome forms include permanent diseases and birth defects. Why or how exactly this syndrome develops is a mystery, but a widely accepted theory is that it is the body of the revenant slowly failing to keep up with the curse.
Soul The soul is the powerhouse of everyone's magical power. Any being that lives (or in some cases is dead) has a soul of their own. This source of power creates mana, which is essential to life. The soul also contains the essence of one's being. Once someone's body dies off, the soul will leave the body and with the help of reapers pass on to the underworld. This process of the soul leaving the body after death is visible to the outside world, but would require immense power to interfere with. This is due to the fact that souls are incredibly powerful and resilient things. Damaging a soul, let alone destroying one, is on its own already a feat barely accomplished by even champions. But if a soul is damaged, it can lead to life-threatening conditions of the owner. After all, if a soul is destroyed, then the owner is forever erased from existence.
Mage restraint Restraining mages who have committed a crime is quite a problematic subject. Simply slapping on handcuffs in most cases will not prevent a mage from casting potentially dangerous spells. Thus, a modern day solution has been made to this problem: CHO. Whenever a mage is apprehended, a substance is continuously administered to prevent spells from being cast. This substance consists of THC and morphine is small dosage. THC is the active component of marijuana, which is administered to make the mage lose their concentration and focus requires to cast complex spells. The morphine is administered to dampen emotions, which are usually required to be strong in order to cast more crude spells. The use of this drug might seem like a heavy treatment, but sadly no better alternative exists. Luckily the effects of addiction to morphine can be dampened through magical therapy methods, and thus mages do not find themselves under the addictive effects of the substance for long after leaving their prison sentence.
Mirrahs Mirrahs is the name used for the measurement of mana. Abbreviated as Mi, Mirrah can be used to detail how much power a spell or other magical object uses. Of course, due to the metaphysical nature of mana, this form of measurement is not exactly consistent throughout all forms of magic. All it can do is give a rough estimate of how much mana something consumes.
Anima Mae Vinculum Condition A rare medical condition found most commonly among twins of which the sibling died in the earlier stages of pre-birth. In these case, two souls share a almost unbreakable bond. In the case of twins, two (or more, in case of triplets and so forth) reside in one body. In much rarer cases, the soul is bound through incredible feats of magical strength during which the soul of the caster and the soul of the target are cracked ever so slightly. The later is a case barely recorded more than once or twice, but is still possible. The dangers of the condition include vulnerability to corruption, shortened life span, vulnerability to schizophrenia and a likeliness of being born with mana leakage. The advantages include increased passive mana regeneration and telepathic communication in between the two souls.
Aura sight Also dubbed the "sixth sense". This seemingly innate ability that some people have allows for seeing the aura of others. The ability itself can be quite useful in assessing someone's mood, intention and current usage of mana. This can allow for one to anticipate behaviour before it even happens. The ability is considered a result of evolution, since the number of people with the ability increase rapidly in ratio to total population every generation.
Albinism and Melanism Albinism and Melanism are disorders in the body that affect both the outward appearance and biological strength. The disorder has a strong advantageous effect, causing for muscles and natural antibodies to have an enhanced effectiveness. It also causes for the aura to be naturally more capable of expanding. What exactly causes this effect is unknown, but it is certain that albino and melanist monsters always have a habit of display more ferocity and hardiness. For Viro, the effects of albinism and melanism are present too. However, especially under viro the disorder is rare. Notably, melanism does not occur among humanics. Typically, Albinism enhances the magical strength and size of the aura causing for viro albinos to be excellent mages whilst monsters will show the capability to perform magics even when typically not capable of such. Melanism causes for a more hardy creature, being resistant to most viral diseases and having higher natural levels of vitamins that, among others, enhance strength. Monsters with Melanism typically can take many more hits and be resistant to certain forms of damage, which effects are also found among viro.
Doctors The profession of being a doctor is one deeply intertwined with magehood. Each specific element comes with its own specialisations and abilities. In terms of combat medics, light mages are the most common sight. Their elemental nature, as well as their abbilities, make them suited to fill the role as a frontline medic. Capable of applying quick, superficial healing magic whilst also dishing out damage. A light doctor is a rare sight in any settled institution, and even then they are normally settled as simple family-doctors. Water mages make up the bulk of the medical profession. It is no wonder, as their abilities primarily lend to this affect. They come in two manners however; The house-hold doctor, and the surgeon. Normal doctors can use their purging and healing affects to rid their patients of diseases quite quickly. Be it infection, a lethal disease or some malfunction, they can generally restore people to a healthy state in a very short amount of time. This has ensured much of the populace's survival rate over the years. Surgeons on the other hand are a bit of a controversial topic. On one side they can deal with problems like lodged bullets and internal rupturing much better than an ordinary water mage could. On the other side, they are unholy. Meaning they are bloodmages. Being a bloodmage allows a surgeon to operate without every needing to break the skin, and never risk bloodloss to be the cause of death. But it also makes for their demeanour and general attitude to be quite discerning.
Necrosis A rotting of flesh, typically caused by festering wounds or wounds inflicted by undead. It leads to viscous rotting spots that can be both internally and externally. Magic can heal these wounds, as can modern medicine, but treatment takes time. A person suffering necrosis will find themselves in pain when moving, causing them to be slowed down. -1 DEX.
Brainrot Though the name may imply, this disease does not actually cause the brain to rot. Instead, it causes a minor fever that has severe effects on the brain, causing it to be less and less capable of focussing. This can be inflicted by wounds from undead creatures. Magic and modern medicine can heal this disease. -1 PER.
Stoneheart The soulweaver, who was also responsible for creating constructs, created a most interesting form of necromancy. This magic was a crystalline one, imbuing a crystal with a soul. After this imbuing, the dead heart of the deceased is removed and replaced with this crystal. This reanimates the body, and makes the body immune to ageing. This method was applicable to any species with flesh and blood in their body. However, only a certain amount of these hearts exist and only the soulweaver knows how to apply them. But he is long dead.
Black blood, corruption The Black blood disease, or corruption, is a magical disease targetting the soul. Spread through bodily fluids, this affliction depends heavily on the concentration of passive mana in the area of the infected. The more mana a person is exposed to, the faster the disease spreads through the body. The disease is named after its primary visible symptom, the blackening of blood. This is caused through erosion and rot, a direct effect of the aura excreting active mana into the body in order to stay intact. This overflow of mana is caused by the soul, which through the disease develops of a form of 'soul-cancer'. This cancer will inevitably cause the soul to burst, but not before the infected becomes engulfed by other symptoms. These include; - Melting skin and flesh - Highly aggravated emotional state - Dissociated personality with hivemind-like activity - Active spreading of disease - (In case of being in areas with high passive mana concentrations) mutation An infected can live 7 days in areas with high passive mana concentration, ranging to 2 months in lower concentration areas. Being in the vicinity of the Leech halts this deterioration.

The relics of Sycropahs These relics, often in the form of informational slabs of old texts, detail events of the future. Most of the relics are complex and undecipherable, while others give visions upon laying one's eyes upon it. The actual existence of these relics are only told off in legends, predicting events before they happened and causing to save those who listened and make perish those who did not. By chance, you too might be able to find a relic of Sycropahs and learn of the future.
Elemental blades The elemental blades are "Living blades" wanted by many collectors and warriors for their incredible power. Not only do these weapons hold incredible power, but they also have a habit of being extraordinarily hard to find and even harder to obtain. This due to the fact that the blades will challenge whoever finds them to a lethal duel, and only grant their finder the privilege of wielding them when they win said duel.
Necronomicon The necronomicon is an insanely powerful catalyst book also know as the black book, made by a long forgotten sorcerer. Copies of pages of this book have been made, while other more obscure copies lay hidden in secluded corners of the world. The information they hold can grant a better understanding of magic, and in turn more powerful use thereof.
Titanite A new age alloy made to replace average steel alloys. It consists of aluminum and titanium materials, aluminum being the main ingredient to the alloy. The alloy is currently mostly used in modern melee weaponry, but new prototypes for building and vehicle enforcement are beginning to pop up recently. Due to the fact that titanite absorbs shock much better than steel, is lighter than steel, and more versatile than steel has become the new focus of modern day engineering. Currently, it is mainly in use for melee weapons, with a particular focus on blades, due to the fact that titanite can be sharpened to such an extent that it rivals obsidian in its capability to cut. Titanite should not be confused with the crystal formation which shares its name.
Mana crystals Mana crystals have been a commonplace ingredient and material ever since its magic properties were discovered a rough fifteen thousand years ago. Mana crystals aren't actual crystal types on their own, but rather a collective name for the many crystal types that are capable of holding mana. Potency factors include element, activity of its stored mana, composition and above all transparency. Mana crystals are known for holding varying amounts of mana, which through an easy filtration system can be used to charge one's mana pool. Highly potent mana crystals can also be filled and drained of mana on the go, serving as an extension to the mana pool.
Prismanite Prismanite is a rare, and very powerful crystal type. Unlike other crystals that store passive mana, the prismanite deforms it. There are two types of prismanite to be found; White and black prismanite. White prismanite has a 'prisma' effect on magic. When contacting with mana waves, the magic is deformed to create a different effect than initially intended. Lesser white prismanite might cause spells to become stronger or weaker, while stronger ones can change the spell altogether - even going so far as to change the element entirely. A white prismanite will always reliably cause the same effect. But no two crystals are the same. Dark prismanite is a silencing crystal. Anyone holding black prismanite will become incapable of using magic, but also become resistant to magic. This is by far the most expensive and rarest crystal to be found, racking up a monumental 100k dollars per gram. The bigger the crystal, the stronger its effect is.
Mana storm Mana storms are semi-frequent phenomenon observed most often above highly populated areas and warzones. Mana storms are the result of a large amount of passive mana that comes together above areas where such passive mana is often found. The passive mana will collect itself high in the air, where it remains passive until strong spell is cast near to where this most of its passive mana comes from. This will cause for the passive mana to ignite like a gas cloud and create a storm of active mana. This active mana manifests itself in dark clouds with thunder frequenting its air. The thunder, as well as the hue of the clouds, is coloured accordingly to the element of the spell responsible for its ignition. Passive mana collects itself in the air through two ways. One way is when simply through a high population. Every living being excretes a minute amount of passive mana at all times. When someone casts spells, this excretion of passive mana is momentarily increased (about 1/10th of all spells mana consumption is excess passive mana). So in warzones where spells are cast practically around the clock, one can expect to find such storms gathering and igniting much more often.

Spell tiers In laws, spells have been under-divided in three categories. These are called the three tiers of spellcasting. "Spellcasters are allowed to cast spells belonging to the first tier. All spells not marked specifically by a tier can be interpreted as being a tier 1 spells. The use of a tier 2 spell is a crime deserving of 5 to 20 years in jail per instance of casting, as judged by a state jury and judge. But in essence, tier 3 spells are spells capable of effects similar to that of nuclear weaponry, large scale biological weaponry, or large scale chemical weaponry.

Private schools instead have a higher focus on magical sciences rather than military training. While destructive spells are illegal for civilians to cast, magic still knows many other uses. The best of the best students often end up in agricultural sciences, a vocation that is considered essential to the cities due to the difficulties of farming for food in a world where going past walls is already dangerous.
