Name: Astaroth Marchosias Gender: Male Age: ~7500 years Race: Solar Dragon: This species of dragon is unlike other dragons due to its innate ability to absorb light and use it for various tasks. These dragons are also known for being incredibly intelligent, being more intelligent than the average of the sentient beings. As a result, this species of dragon has, after some controversy, been recognized as a sentient being. Appearance: Astaroth has, in general, the form of your generic dragon; 4 legs (front ones can be used as sorts of clumsy arms), 2 wings, a tail and a dragon-head with 4 horns stretching backwards after his strong yellow eyes. When stretched out completely, he is, from the tip of his smooth tail to the end of his snout, 32 meters long (25 in his normal stance). Height-wise, he is 15 meters tall in his and is 7,5 meters wide. He has 2 colored scales: black scales spiked backwards, rugged as hell from combat, and bright yellow scales, similar to sharkskin; smooth as a baby's bottom or rugged as sandpaper depending on the way your glide your hand over them. The scales are somewhat randomly placed on his body with about half of his scales being black - the rest are yellow. Powers: Astaroth is able to absorb any kind of light (preferably sunlight, it's the tastiest) and convert it to energy, which can be used in the form of various attacks, like, for example, Nova, a large shard of extremely concentrated energy which violently bursts either upon contact with a solid object or when Astaroth wants them to. The energy can also stored for later use, which can let him do more powerful attacks, depending on the amount of time the power is stored. Is also able to use this energy for other uses than attacking. Spells:Size Change - Astaroth is able to change his size at will. Takes one post to change size, regardless of difference between current size and wanted size. Can become up to 2 times larger than usual, so 50 meters long, 30 meters tall and 15 meters wide. Can also become up to 10 times smaller, so 2,5 meters long, 1,5 meters tall and 0,75 meters wide. Can also revert to original size. Elemental Knowledge - Astaroth has basic knowledge on the 4 main elements of fire, water, air and earth, and is, as a result, able to cast basic spells of those elements. Equipment: None Additional Notes: Eats and drinks in monthly intervals. Sleep, however, is needed every day - Astaroth sleeps 12-16 hours every day. Hibernation is necessary every 100 years or so to maintain his good health. When hibernating, Astaroth doesn't need to eat or drink at all before waking up. He hibernates for 50-100 years. As years pass Astaroth by, his senses are duller than they used to be. His senses are still slightly better than the average humans, but his current senses are only about 1/4 of what he used to have. Astaroth has devoted a large chunk of his life, excluding the amount where he sleeps and hibernates, to searching for the 2 Keys of Solomon, 2 incredibly powerful books on daemonology. The 2 keys are referred to as the Lesser Key and Greater Key of Solomon. His home is a hill with a hole going from the top all the way down to where Astaroth sleeps. This allows him to absorb sunlight when napping and hibernating. The hill is located somewhere outside the dark forest. Astaroth, being a dragon, is incredibly powerful. He could destroy villages with ease... If he actually wanted to. Astaroth prefers to sleep and read, which lead him to "search" for the Lesser and Greater Keys. Sorry if this was a bit long D: |
