Yukine has peculiar views in regards to life, and deep morals. He’s rather defensive, though if you manage to earn his trust, he’ll stand by you to the last breath. However it’s very rare for him to allow another person to be so close. He often surprises people with his insight and creativity, due to his usual silence. He’s taciturn under normal circumstances, except for the routine sardonic comment, or if baited into a debate. He likes doing new things, always the first one to walk forward wether it be into an adventure or to confront someone. He is very quick at making decisions in a situation and always comes across as completely calm. Once he makes a decision, he sticks by it, though is not opposed to considering the views of others, as evidenced by his aforementioned enjoyment of intelligent debate.

Yukine was born to a small people of reclusive Elementals who live in the very far North, where there is ice almost constantly and large quiet forests. Specialists in manipulating the element around them, they are a very advanced magic society, but unmodernized due to their withdrawal from the outside world, though their people were well known and frequented by those wanting to hire them, which rarely they accepted. Then one day, when Yukine was fifteen, human supremacists chose them as a target. The entire city was burned to the ground while the people slept, survivors being picked off to be used as weapons in the war, their people scattered all over. Ten years later, Yukine, having managed to survive the imprisionment, escaped and set off immediately to join those against the supremacists, hoping to find some of his people among their ranks or information about it.

Unlike the usual healing that Water Elementals typically employ, Yukine’s family developed a way to use it as a more adaptable weapon, spells developed and passed on within Yukine’s family. The spells require very intricate working and accuracy that have to be developed over many years. Thus while he excels in those areas, he falls a bit short in any widely destructive type of fighting. Because of that the is a tradition of also practicing defensive combat, mostly hand-to-hand, but Yukine knows his way around a Katana or dagger okay, when needed. His weaknesses are anything more than 1 v 1, that he relies on accuracy rather than strength, and fire - or any sort of heat really.
