The Lion's Den. A fight club underneath the streets of Cape town. A notorious one at that. It was a den for all the bad guys, people from Xerna, drug dealers, criminals. However it was also the place a young fire elemental had came too, to get answers. A fire elemental by the name of David Fright.
The air was knocked out of his lungs as he hit the wall. The lights above him flashing around the dark area. He was tired and bruised. He crumpled onto the ground out of breath. Strength slowly leaving him, but anger slowly building. He pushed himself up off the ground. All while having to listen to the awful laughter of his opponent, a huge Dragon-kin. All while he was just a tall and skinny fire elemental.
“I would of thought a Fright would of put up a bit more of a fight!” The Dragon-kin laughed as David forced himself up. Everyone in the den knew who he was. He had made headlines in the underground, for his countless attacks on SPR groups popping up all around South Africa, however he was also known for violently attacking ex Xerna agents. He was quite infamous to say the least.
“I’m not done yet, fucker.” David said, standing up quickly, he went into a boxing position. His fists locked. David quickly sprinted in and threw a punch at the Dragon-kin, but he was quickly stopped as the Dragon-kin’s tail grabbed his wrist and threw him to the side.
“Oh really?” The Dragon-kin laughed as David hit another wall. The crowed of criminals around the two cheering. “I mean you are young, from what I heard you were what? Seventeen?” The Dragon-kin asked, as David pushed himself up again. “But I must say your are quiet content on fighting me, or perhaps that’s just your stupidity.” The Dragon-kin laughed as David charged in once again, this time running in throwing a kick towards his side. However his foot was only knocked away by a tail, then David got hit in the face. “So why are you here? Because I’m ex Xerna?” The Dragon-kin asked.
David landed on the ground in pain. He moaned in response as he slowly started to pick himself up, but he then got kicked in the stomach causing him to lie right back down. “Yeah.” He whispered. He was suddenly grabbed by the hair and lifted up into the air.
“Well guess what, I know who you are looking for.” The Dragon-kin growled grabbing David’s neck. David was too tired to do anything. “And I can tell you this, you are never going to find her!” The Dragon-kin said shoving David up against a wall. “And do you know why?” He growled as he started to squeeze David’s neck. “Because I’m going to kill you, and you’ll never be able to see your little sister. Ever. Again!” He growled with a wild smirk on his face as he squeezed harder. David’s vision started going blurry he was going to loose continuous. He was going to die. He was never going to see his little sister ever again.
But something refused for that to happen. Something built up inside his stomach. Anger. He wasn’t going to die. And he was going to see his sister again. Because he wasn’t going to let some ex Xerna agent, end his life in some run down tunnel filled with criminals.
His eye’s shot open. Adrenaline pumped through his body, he forced his hands around the Dragon-kin’s arm, which in turn only let the Dragon-kin laugh at what seemed to be a poor last attempt to save himself. Then suddenly David’s hands erupted into flames, burning the Dragon-kin’s flesh. He let go of David and grabbed his burnt arm.
“You fuck-” He was cut off by David throwing a flaming punch at his jaw. Followed up by an uppercut and then an elbow to the stomach. David then swiped his leg, under the Dragon-kin’s foot causing him to stumble back. David then took this chance by grabbing the Dragon-kin’s face. He soon let out a terrifying scream as David was literally burning his face off. “PLEASE!” He screamed out, but there was no reason in David’s head, only hatred, bloodlust and anger. “I’M BEGGING YOU! PLEASE STOP! FOR THE LOVE OF EVERY GOD!” He screeched, then David let go, letting the Dragon-kin crumple on the floor holding his face as he cried. “What… do, you… want.” He asked terrified, David stood over him, saying nothing. “I… don’t know...I don’t know where she is… please…” He cried out as David walked closer. “No! No! Stay back!” He cried out, quickly shuffling back. David just continued walking closer. “I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING!” He cried out once more, as David stood over him.
“I know.” David said looking at the Dragon-kin with dead eyes, he then lifted up his hand. Fire started to form in his hand. He then pointed it at the Dragon-kin’s face.
The last thing that could be heard was a scream of fear and pain, mixed along with the soft sound of fire crackling.
