This rp is strictly boss battles. Each player who takes part in the epic boss battles must be ready to fight horrifying monsters with characters that are not tied to the SRT universe at all.
What is a boss battle?
A boss battle is basically just a very big fight against a monster, human, or entity that is far stronger than the simple monsters one might encounter on a daily basis. Bosses are known for having sweet loot and cool little bonuses for the character fighting them. They are also known for basically killing anyone and everything that comes into their domain much faster than normal monsters so.. that's the slight downside to a boss battle.
Will there be any normal monsters?
Nope. Not unless the boss has its own special minions that aid it in destroying the characters. There will not be an adventure leading up the boss fight. There will not be any level grinding before to make sure you're at the right level for this monster. If you aren't ready, then you will die.
What if my character dies?
If your character dies, don't fret. Your character has children and grandchildren and great grandchildren to take their place in the fight. They... Just don't know about it. Every death that occurs, a second generation of that character will take their spot after the boss battle that killed them is over. For every level that your character makes it to, your second generation receives Hpoints. What are Hpoints? Simple, stupid. They're Heir Points. Heir Points allow you to put extra points into your stats at character creation.
Wait.. character creation? How do I do that?
Seriously? That's the question I need to answer? Sigh, fine. Creating a character is relatively simple. Each character has several points that make them who they are, such as their personality, looks, abilities, and most importantly, their stats. The character sheet is a whole lot more simple when you hear about it, but when it gets to making it... Yeah. Here is the sheet, and yes everything is kinda mandatory. So don't slack off.
Character sheet
Name:
Age:
Race: (this can pretty much be whatever the hell you want it to be)
Appearance: (what's it look like?
Weapon preference: (what item is your character most likely going to hold on to and which item is it most likely going to throw out.)
Personality: (is your character a dick? Is he nice? Maybe your character has some mental disorders that makes him more special or more stupid than others? Who knows.)
Weapons and equipment you actually have: (you'll get to pick a weapon all your own. But it's basic, and has nothing super special about it.)
Stats: (you get 100 to start.)
Strength: (how hard does your character hit with a bat or sword?High strength characters do not make very good mages mind you.)
Perception: (this effects how well you hit your target. High perception=more sides of the dice that are hits. Best for shooters and quick hitters. Max 90 perception)
Health: (can't fight without a big health bar so you don't die, right?)
Wisdom: (this effects two things. The amount of magic you have and the amount of damage you can deal with it. High wisdom characters are terrible warriors.)
Dexterity: (this is how fast you move. By that I mean how many times you can hit a motherfucker before you turn is over. It effects the amount of dice you can use.)
Prestige: (this is where you'll put the points your character can transfer to their offspring. Basically, everytime your character dies, the points in the prestige move over along with the 100 points and the heir points. Max 50 prestige per character per offspring.)
Wait, so how do you decide the dice and damage used?
Simple. We use a very complicated system to create a sequence. By that I mean.. eh.. I'll just show you.
Damage dealt: (strength/2 +item bonus)
Dice accuracy: (perception/10 + item bonuses) once you reach 60 perception, the dice you use switches from a d6 to a d10 to allow room to grow further and reduce risk of characters who never miss.
Dice used:
Melee/semi-auto guns: (dexterity/10+item bonus)
Automatic guns/magic attacks: (dexterity/5+item bonus)
Seems simple enough, right? Well some stats actually have max points that prevent you from upgrading them further. This keeps things fair.. and... Yeah.. just a little heads up, there are totally gonna be some awesome weapons that increase stats past their max making it possible for you to go god mode. Why? Because I'd much rather kill a god mode character than a whiny little pansy.
Wait, so you went over all of that nonsense. What about the Hpoints?
Stop asking questions and I'll get to it. Jeez. The Hpoints will come into play when your character dies. Hpoints are decided by this little sequence. ((Stat-total/6)/2+10) so even if your character has 0 stats, you'll always get a nice little bonus of 10.
An offspring of a character gets 100 points to start. If he had 600 stats total, the Hpoints given are 60. If he had 40 prestige, your offspring character has 200 points total to start.
Thats a lot of math.. will we have to keep track of everything?
Am I an asshole? Yeah, you'll have to keep track of things, however I'm going to be doing the same to make sure it's accurate.
As time goes on, I am going to be adding in new things as questions pop up and adjusting things because I'm sure someone will bitch about doing math. Trust me when I say that I am going to enjoy slaughtering the characters as much as you will enjoy killing my epic bosses. Have fun
