Alderon character bio Name: Lustre (Last name forgotten) Alias: Dirt (See backstory for context) Gender: Male Race: Mage (Human) Age: 27 Magic type: Fire Appearance: Lustre looks younger than he really is; while he is 27 years old, he looks like someone who's 22 (minus the acne). He is 1,82 meters tall and weighs about 60 kilos, a result of slight malnutrition. He also has a slightly hunched over stature, but is more than capable of standing tall. He has very long red (actual red, not the ginger red) hair that reaches the back of his thighs, which becomes more orange-ish towards the end of it. This hair has been the cause for misunderstandings, some thinking he was an enchantress; they'd quickly realize that he was, in fact, male, and thus not an enchantress. The structure of his head is relatively average, but his face is somewhat handsome, if not slightly sunken-in. In terms of clothing, he wears a very basic and ragged greenish-brown thin cloth robe with a hood and slight facial-masking built-in, a slightly stained white tunic, pair of pants of similar style to the robe, a black cloth sash to hold the outfit together, and a pair of cozy fur shoes. He also carries a bag containing a bunch of torches and some candles and a purse for Medions. He also has a staff held in suspension on his back between his back, his backpack and his sash; he uses this to defend himself if magic isn't an available or efficient option. Faction: None/Quest Takers Medions: 88 Notes (will mainly dedicate this to backstory and personality): Lustre was the child of 2 good parents. They lived a very peaceful life in the outskirts of Easthallow. That is, until Lustre turned 13. He and his parents realized he was a fire mage, but tried to not make a big deal out of it; he didn't have to use his power and run the risk of being mistreated. Very quickly, however, something went wrong. Luster himself doesn't quite remember what happened. One minute, a small argument between him and his parents, the next, his parents' faces writhing and screaming in searing agony as they and the house burned to ashes. Lustre never had any bad intentions, he loved his parents. But an emotional outburst triggered the mass-inflation of the houses' torches, burning it, and his parents, to the ground. Miraculously, he survived the flames, and was brought in by an elderly distant relative. This relative was also a fire-mage, who never really learned as much as he could, and regretted it more and more as he grew older. He sought to, similarly to a parent projecting their wishes onto their child, train his child to manipulate fire right from the start, to create a human weapon. The training, and the next 14 years of Lustres life, took place exclusively in an otherwise abandoned tower in Grimsby, in a room filled with burnt out candles, torches, and whatever other sources of fire the old mage could get his hands on. Here, Lustre would, without pause (besides the daily 6 hours of sleep and a total of 30 minutes to eat), train his affinity for fire magic and combat capabilities, never leaving the place. The old mage would call Lustre "Dirt", a nickname initially meant to belittle him, but later turned into a nickname of love and familiarity. As time went on and Lustre continued to train, becoming stronger both physically and mentally, the old mage was beginning to whittle away. In his dying moments, he commanded Lustre, as he had done so many other times, to explore the world and hone his skill on the journey. So Lustre, following the wishes of his late master, decided to travel the world for a living, and experience life in Alderon. Personality: Due to his seclusion in the Grimsby tower, Lustre is incredibly socially awkward; he's the kind of person that thinks "Have a nice day" is a greeting, if he's even able to formulate a sentence like that without stuttering or hesitating. He is also very monotone in voice, which is somewhat betraying of his true personality, which is that of a warm and caring person; in spite of his stature, general facial expression, tone, etc., he is quick to relate to other people, and is, despite his clumsiness, willing to help others, to an extent. He is, however, prone to very rash decision-making, but is actively trying to avoid doing so, and working on preventing it in general. On the other hand, he tries to refrain from using magic in public, even when making rash decisions. Misc. notes: Somewhat sensitive to the cold Does not like rice porridge Has little to no concept of the difference between those who are royal and those who are peasants... or any other social structure or culture, like racism, for that matter Fascinated by anlays Trained by his master to control his emotions; despite the rash-decision making (which isn't really caused by emotions, but more of a "how to get this over with as quickly as possibly" thing), he can somewhat control his emotional state. Despite his scrawny appearance, Lustre is actually incredibly fit (see the backstory for reasoning)
