So, science conventions will be working a little differently than before, instead of voting for one of categories instead you'll be voting for one research project in each category
The second annual research convention soon started, the seats filled with scientist young and old, military officials, and even some world leaders here and there. The brightly let stage soon had a shadow cast upon the upstage as a well know face walked up to the mic in the center, General. "Hello ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you all back to this wonderful convention, today the very same men and woman as last time are here to get your votes. The first one up to give their presentation will be Dr. Quart!"
Magnetic ResearchThe same dark purple merm as last time walked up, speaking into the mic "Hello members of the scientific community and others, I am on the cusp of several magnetic prototypes, two specifically. A weapon and a set of armor, please fund one of them to help me realize my research! On the other hand I also have a theory i'd like to work on that can be funded as well. Either way you choose, please just fund me!" With once again a long winded beg he left the stage
Crystal ResearchThe black haired girl returned, looking just as terrified about the crowd as she did before but none the less she walked up to the mic from stage left with a bundle of note cards in her hand "U-Uhm... H-Hello! I'm back again!... I-I still think crystals can do a lot more amazing things than we know, my prototypes show that too! I-I mean they aren't working yet but... But uhm... T-T-That's where you can help! I-I have a weapon and a bit of armor that... That you could fund..." Her voice trailed off as she looked into the shadowed out crowd, with out a word she slowly creeped away, ending her presentation
Electronics ResearchThe werewolf with glasses from last time crawled back up to the mic, walking on all fours as is common for full werewolves like him, with a short clearing of his throat he spoke into his mic, his low and deep wolf like voice made the mic redundant beyond anything "I am a man of science like all of you, so I understand that you don't want promises, you want results, however there is very few results I can give you I have 2 prototypes near completion that could use some more funding if you want result now, other wise I have 5 theories I would like to look into, once again, I understand that you want results however I hope you take my word as more meaningful than any results I could present you" He soon skulked off the stage on all fours, adjusting his glasses a bit in the middle of his stride
Artificial Magi ResearchBlood Marry soon returned "Dr. Marry once again, I see almost no one funded me last time. What ever, I don't need your cis scum money to do my science!... Though I would prefer some if you want to stop being a trans-phobic, misogynistic, neo-nazi. Anyway I got two prototypes and I feel like these two will interest you quite a bit. The first one is a prototype artificial magi weapon, of course it would be useless with out artificial mana to go with it but on that note I also have a prototype for an artificial soul, that's right, I've learned how to create life!... N-Not really... It's effectively a generator, all it'll do is make a bit of artificial mana, has no personality or anything, not truly alive. Think of it on the same level as an... Amoeba. Anyway if any of these peek your interest please fund one, or both, preferably both unless you hate gay people"
Theromite ResearchA unfamiliar face entered the stage, it was a face that really shouldn't have been unfamiliar if she didn't over sleep and get lost on the way to the first science convention. The sleepy child looking vampire shuffled her way stage right until she reached the mic, rubbing her eyes with her over sized lab coat sleeve as she put down something that was in her left arm, a step stool that went up to about her stomach, climbing up it she lowered the mic to as low as it could go before speaking in her fitting and sleepy voice "Hi... I'm Fate... Doctor Fate I guess, got a couple of those PHD things... Anyway Theromite is cool, you can make it do different stuff... Like it can be a sticky liquid or a super sharp solid, really cool I guess... Fund it!... I guess... Don't really care that much to be honest... Got a weapon and some armor prototype things that you could fund, those are cool I guess" She words where interrupted by a yawn "Anyway I'm going to go sleep..." She stepped off the stepladder, leaving it there by the mic as she shuffled away
Robotics ResearchThe strange Avian Nekoid-halfling once again returned with her strange feathers. Walking up to the mic she carefully closed the stepladder and walked back to stage left, putting it away before returning "Ahem, sorry about that, don't like things being left out. Anyway, hello again, I'm still Dr. Dela and I still want you to fund my robotics research, now it's not just about robots, there are a wide arrange of things we could make with it! And I have 2 prototypes and 2 theories to prove it! So fund them and I'll make sure you never have to work again and when you do you'll have no trouble doing it!" That sounded more like a TV ad then a actual speech but she walked away regardless
Medical ResearchThe giant scientist returned once again, still walking very carefully as to not make his footsteps too loud, picking up the mic stand once again as the mic it's self is too small he spoke "I am disappointed, you fund something else instead of the literal progress of medicine? I get it, you want to kill things faster, that's understandable if not some what morally questionable but if you can kill someone faster than that means they can do the same to you, however I can fix that so fund one of my two prototypes please" He nodded before putting down the mic and leaving to stage left
