How to: Stats
Stats are an important part of your character. They describe your character's properties and general abilities. They also provide you with boosts to certain aspects.
STR Strength – A person's’ ability to exert physical force. It measures the brutish brawn of a person, as well as their ability to use weapons that require strong muscles. It increases the raw power of physical attacks. Generally speaking, weapons that pack considerable punch - like explosives, blunt weapons or heavy weapons - scale with STR. 1. Your heart is beating and your lungs are pumping. That’s about all your body can do though as you lack the muscle power to move anything else at all. 2. You can barely move, but you might as well be a stick, or a brittle feather. Whatever that is. 3. You can move, and you can do some general stuff. But you’re definitely not all that capable at doing anything besides basic interactions. 4. You’re weaker than the average person, but you can manage. With some know-how, you can even handle yourself in a fight. 5. The average human being can lift 70 kilogrammes. So can you. 6. You’ve got some abs, shows your semi-regular gym visits do you well. 7. You take your physical strength seriously and it shows in how powerful you are. 8. You eat an entire can of whey every hour to maintain the absolute unit that you are. 9. You no longer have abs or nice looking muscles. It’s begun to become a bit weird looking. As if you’ve got giant swollen bee stings all over you. But hey, at least you can pummel anyone to death with your bare fists easily. 10. It’s not even pronounced muscles any more. It’s just all pure muscle, covered by skin. Even your bones, your organs. They’ve all been consumed by the protein shakes. 10+. You posses strength to super-viro levels.
DEX Dexterity – A person's’ ability to move elegantly and with grace. Useful for sneaking around, as well as using the more delicate and flashy weaponry. Dexterous people attack faster, and dodge attacks with ease.Generally speaking, quick weapons such as swords, knives and submachine guns scale with DEX. 1. You have to be moved by wheelchair, and fed by a helper, since you can’t move any of your body parts. 2. You still need some kind of help in order to move, and your hands tremble immensely. But at least you can do something. 3. You might want to go see a doctor, considering you have unexpected trembling in your ligaments and painful bones. 4. You are clumsy, but you can move as any other person would. 5. You’re as average as average gets. 6. You know some fancy juggling tricks, or perhaps you’re that guy that fumbles with pencils in a cool way. 7. You took a lot of yoga classes to get this agile. 8. You’re a damn ballerina with how amazingly you move on your feet. 9. A professional when it comes to being agile. A true acrobat, with unprecedented control over your body. 10. You are a slime. You lack any bones. You can move freely in every single way, with no restrictions. Not literally, but you might as well be like that you freak. 10+. Your speed, agility and stealth is elevated to super-viro levels
PER Perception – A person's’ ability to perceive their surroundings accurately. Affects one’s ability to use single fire weaponry, vehicle based weaponry and anything else that requires a sharp eye, thusly increasing accuracy. Perception allows one to aim their physical attacks better. Generally speaking, ranged weapons scale with PER. 1. Hello Helen Keller. 2. You’re blind, or deaf, but you can still perceive your surroundings to a limited degree. 3. Your perceptive abilities are impaired. But you’re not completely incapable of using them. 4. You need glasses, but you can manage. 5. You have 20/20 and decent hearing. Nothing special. 6. You’re known for having a sharp eye. You notice things other wouldn’t so easily. 7. You have an eye for extreme detail and can hear trouble coming a mile away. 8. Even the vibrations of the ground and the faint smells in the air are taken in expertly by your perceptive abilities. 9. All five of your senses are in top shape, and your mind is constantly aware of this. Nothing sneaks up on you and nothing goes unnoticed. 10. You have somehow developed a biological radar and echo-location. I have no idea how and it scares me. 10+. Your aim is perfect beyond what any person should be able to manage and you perceive the world on a super-viro level.
VIT Vitality – Your healthiness. Without your stamina and health, your other abilities are worth little to nothing. This stat tracks your ability to stay alive despite injuries as well as the amount of skills you can utilize. VIT/2 = your total HP, which accounts for how many major injuries you can survive. VITx1.25 = your BP (Body Point) gain per level-up, which can be used to buy skill slots. 1. You’re a fragile stick, close to death. In fact, you need life support just to stay alive. You can survive 1 major injury. 2. I mean… At least you’re alive without an IV. You can survive 1 major injury. 3. You should consider getting medication. You can survive 2 major injuries. 4. Eat some vegies and you’ll be alright. You can survive 2 major injuries 5. Just your regular you. You can survive 3 major injuries. 6. You know how to eat well and to stay healthy. Good choices like that do you good. Every level up, you gain 1 skill slot. You can survive 3 major injuries. 7. Tough as nails, you’ve had your fair share of beat downs, which has made you numb to it. Every level up, you gain 1 skill slot. You can survive 4 major injuries. 8. The pain doesn’t get to you, nor does the exhaustion. You bite through it and keep going. Every level up, you gain 2 skill slots. You can survive 4 major injuries. 9. Iron runs in your blood. You probably came out of the womb drinking beer, rather than doing something so weak as crying. Every level up, you gain 2 skill slots. You can survive 5 major injuries. 10. You laugh at pain. It’s nothing to you. In fact, it just seems to make you tougher. Every level up, you gain 3 skill slots. You can survive 5 major injuries. 10+. Remember that scene where the terminator gets shot, and he spits out the bullet? That’s you. Every level up, you gain 3 skill slots. Every second level, you can survive an additional major injury.
INT Intelligence – The ability to calculate and refer to logic in order to solve complex problems is a virtue to hold dear. It is an important part to the learning of new spells/skills and the use of complex spells that require high INT. It also determines how many spells and skills you can know. The later is accounted for through SP (skill/spell points). For each skill or spell you want to learn, you'll need equal SP in accordance to the level of the spell/skill to attain it. Your SP gain is calculated per level; [ LVL x(0.2xINT) = SP ]. Every time you level up, you gain more SP, with your INT accounting to the modifier of that point gain. The maximum gain is capped at 20 points up to level 10, and 40 points beyond that level. 1. Not to insult the flauna out there, but you’re basically a plant. 2. You have the mental capacity of an infant and it shows. 3. You have a cognitive disability, which makes thinking quite hard for you. 4. You probably think the earth is flat. But besides that, you’re okay with solving problems. 5. 100 is the average IQ of viro. You’re in a 10 point range of that. 6. You’ve got a good head on your shoulders. Probably could have gone for a better job than being a soldier if you had used it. 7. In another life, you might have been a doctor. 8. You probably are a doctor. 9. You are a doctor. In multiple fields. 10. It’s a wonder you haven’t gotten a nobel prize yet. People like Einstein and Tesla seem insignificant compared to you. 10+. The world is too simple for you. You have it all figured out already, and the only limits are the one your mind keeps finding ways to break. Intelligence to super-viro levels.
EMO Emotionality – A person’s control over their emotions, as well as their strength, are heavily intertwined with the use of magic. It affects the power of spells. Most, but not all, types of magic scale with EMO. Having a higher EMO will thus mean that spells you use have a higher attack score. 1. You’re in a constant state of a complete mental breakdown. 2. You have some moments where you can string together words in between the incoherent emotional distress. 3. You’re prone to cry, or anger, but as long as nothing triggers you, you’re somewhat stable. 4. You might be one to cry, or be stressed out, but it’s nothing abnormal. 5. You’re emotionally stable, as any normal person would be. 6. You know how to keep calm, even in stressful situations. 7. You prefer working under pressure. It invigorates you. 8. Death-or-life situations are something you’ve dealt with before, and you know how to deal with them again. Clear minded. 9. You have a tight leash on your emotions and know how to handle them well. With ease you can let those leashes go, or hold them tighter. Whichever works best for you. 10. You could be considered bipolar, if not for the fact that you decide what happens. Your emotions are strong, vicious, but yet you wield them like no other. 10+. Emotions are but tools to you. You can use them to the extreme, or keep them suppressed to the point where one might forget you ever had feelings at all.
SAU Soul and aura - The driving force of any person. The strength of one’s soul and aura determines how much mana they can have, and how quickly it regenerates. It also determines your mental ability to persist through trauma. Your SAU directly translates to the amount of MP (Magic points) gained every level, which are used to buy spell slots. 1. You can barely lift a finger. Not because you lack the will or muscle strength, but because you lack the spirit. 2. You’re weak spirited and frail on the inside. Small triggers can already make you panick. 3. You can’t use magic, but at least you’re a functioning person. Even if you have some bad insecurities. 4. You can’t do much in terms of magic. You’ll need more training for that. 5. A reasonable amount of mana in your aura, just as any normal person would have. Not enough to throw spells, but enough to sustain some. 6. You’ve trained with magic before. It’s not something you’re a stranger to. But it’s not your best trait either… Every level up, you gain 1 spell slot. 7. Performing regular meditation and training has seasoned your aura and soul well. Every level up, you gain 1 spell slot. 8. Magic is most definitely your forté. You possess a large amount of mana. Every level up, you gain 2 spell slots. 9. Great wizards and sorcerers alike were known to have cultivated a soul and aura like this. Every level up, you gain 2 spell slots. 10. A soul like that of a god. Well, not really. But you’ve surpassed the majority of the souls in this world. Every level up, you gain 3 spell slots. 10+. You command your aura and very soul to bend to your ironclad willpower. No mere viro can match this strength. Every level up, you gain 3 spell slots.
