How to: Get a grasp of the world


If you're new, then the whole codex and all the guides and the bio... It must all seem like a lot to put on your plate. I'm here to tell you it's not.

The world
First off, let me try to explain this world in a bite-sized paragraph.

Making a bio

That's it. There's only two. The rules and how to make your bio. There's no need to have a deep understanding of the world or read the entirety of the codex and be able to recite it in your sleep. The staff will help you through your first few posts and as you roleplay, you'll learn more about the world on the fly.
You're not expected to make some elite character right off the bat, nor do you have to be great at combat. Being just a person is fine. The rest, you can learn later.

Codex
Out of all the things, the codex might be the most intimidating of all. It's enormous and takes a long time to read fully.

I can not express enough how this is not necessary.

The codex is a handbook you can reference to and look things up in. It's not something you need to read fully. You could compare it to a dictionary; No one reads the full thing, but it's handy to have when you don't know what a specific thing means.
