Appearance: Roderik is a baby-faced Orc with slight tusks protruding from his lips, with soft brown eyes and a shaved head, and skin the color of dust. His body is built like a linebacker, what with his broad shoulders and his extremely muscled frame looming at a full 6’4”.

Background: Roderik was not born in exactly the most stable of circumstances. As is typical for an Orc, he was born in the less safe, more rough and tumble side of the tracks. Rather than being a part of the criminal side of life, Roderik’s family always tended to be on the more level-headed side, using their natural might to match the natural temper of their fellow Orcs. His parents often returned home sporting new bruises or marks from their particular style of law enforcement. While his mother was a proper officer, Roderik’s father-- Dahved-- often broke up fights and sent petty criminals running with either a firm glare or an even firmer punch, leading to him stumbling home with a knife wound more than once. When Roderik asked about why it was he did that, Dahved answered that it was because someone had to keep everybody safe. His mother’s-- Lara-- response to the same question was that someone had to make sure that innocent people didn't get hurt.
Because of how famous his parents became with their work against crime and fighting, Roderik returned from school with a black eye and a destroyed backpack after being jumped, though he always refused to fight back. Even when his own mother-- a firm rule follower-- urged him to at least return the favor, Roderik only said that he didn’t want to hurt anyone. While she was proud, she said that just because he didn’t fight back doesn’t mean that he was the only one being hurt. Soon afterwards, when Roderik took a different path and noticed a freshmen being picked on by the same people that had been hurting him for ages. While the resulting fight was enough to keep him home for several days as he recovered, Roderik swore that he would always stand up for the sake of others, no matter what.
And one day, when Roderik was a Junior in High School, Dahved didn’t arrive home after he said he was going to get groceries. After a day of waiting, Lara was in a frenzy as she called on every last person who might know anything at all. When a terrible picture began to appear, she called on her fellow policemen to put it all together and to try and find her husband.
Dahved had interfered with the shadier side of life for too long, and courtesy of the local gangs, was never seen again.
Roderik has since done his best to follow the example of his parents, pushing himself further and further as he tries to become strong enough to protect everyone, even at the cost of himself.
