Appearance: Standing at 2.6 Meters, Azubah is on the tall side for an Arachnoiya. Her skin is a quite dark shade of blue, allowing her to blend in well with the light of the moon. Azubah’s hair is a blackish-purple, and flows down to her ‘waist’. Her eyes are a silvery purple, shining brightly even when covered by her bangs. She is most often seen in a long flowing silk dress splitting at where a human’s hip would be to allow room for her legs. Her leg span has a diameter of 2.6 Meters, and her abdomen is roughly 1.4 Meters long. When it comes to body composition, Azubah’s not muscular nor is she heavy. She is rather well toned, as if she was an avid runner. She’s rather well curved as well, though she doesn’t attempt to bring any focus onto that aspect through her clothing. It is very obvious simply by looking at her that she has had very little physical struggle in her life.
Background: Born on Marina proper, Azubah was raised by an extremely overprotective mother and father. Her mother was the huntress of the family, setting traps to feed her family. Her father on the other hand was the weaver and architect of the small family, building the traps themselves along with crafting their clothing and building their home to be truly safe. Her mother’s persistent lacking presence in her life led to a strong connection with her father, who taught her to weave and craft structures. She took to her weaving with fascination, always excited for each time she was able to learn more. Alongside weaving, her father taught her how to read and write. Her mother on the other hand, was less well connected with Azubah, though loved her just as much as her father loved her daughter. She would specifically attempt to gather any books she could to bring back to her daughter as a way to try to mend their shaky relationship. Despite her mother’s attempts, Azubah’s love for her mother was little to none; she only ever saw her mother as a commanding and insistent matriarch hellbent on forcing her to conform to her rules. She would often do laps through the small cave network they resided in, and thus became quite the sprinter. Due to her disdain for her mother she would often play her father and mother against each other, ultimately resulting in some serious tension between the two only alleviated by their love of each other and Azubah. Alas, due to this aforementioned tension her mother and father avoided interacting except while resting or while eating together. This pension for manipulation continued to grow, as she became an expert on pitting her doting parents on each other to get them off of her back. Eventually, she had dealt with enough overbearing protectiveness, and by a combination of paths her mother had spoken to her of and sheer dumb luck managed to avoid monsters as she made her way to the sea. She managed to locate the nearest settlement, and took a ship somewhere near-yet-far: the island of Nørdgard.
