Appearance: Bronze skin, straight black hair, buzzed short. She wears jeans and a simple T-shirt or a tank top. She is quite muscular and it shows. 5 foot 11 inches tall. When working, she will wear a black baseball cap with the words “I am deaf, dummy” printed on the front when she feels like she has to. If going to a special occasion, she will wear the cheapest tux she can find. Lu would not be caught dead in a dress or a skirt.

Background: Lucy Rai (Who goes by Lu, because that’s quicker to sign) is the only child of Monica and Markus Rai, who are fourth generation immigrants to London from India. Lu’s parents are hardworking and loving, and she visits them when she can.
Lu was born deaf, and her parents considered cybernetics to fix her hearing, but were short on funds. By the time they could afford it, Lu’s brain had already adapted to being deaf, and such a device would not be effective. Despite this, Lu managed to have a decent education and grew up tinkering and helping her father fix vehicles for a living. She likes going to the gym, tinkering with guns, and watching anime subs. Nowadays tho, her shop is swamped with more orders than ever before, due to the intervening circumstances… she’s happy for the money, but the work, combined with the general stress of the situation is not going well. Still, she tries to keep positive!
She is deaf. She knows English, and British Sign Language, and she can read lips fairly well.
