Background: Sarah was a well educated alchemist, mainly focusing on nature and health. She worked for several years, leading an effort to conserve and control species that were considered invasive. Her philosophy was that most species didn’t attempt to destabilize their new ecosystem and instead were products of wars or other effects that made them move. She was hired by what she was told to be an animal science group operating out of south america to develop a toxic gas that would push animals and other oxygen breathing life forms away from certain areas to clear an area, to allow more invasive species an area to develop their own functioning and balanced ecosystem.

 Her family, a son (8), daughter (12), and husband were moved to her as she began her work. Sarah worked for two years, and was given many animals to test her gases on. Unfortunately several were killed or seriously injured. Because of the exposure to gas, they could not be reintroduced or be allowed to be buried, so all were put to death and disposed of using fire. Finally, she developed a toxic enough gas that would deter and harm anything that was exposed to it, but safe enough that it could be introduced to an area, and not slaughter the entire region. After presenting her work to the board she was hired by, and receiving desired results, they put her in restraints and was told that the gas was not going to be used on animals and rather would be used on humans. The “animal science group” she thought she was working with, was actually a Xerma Sicario group. She was made to watch as her family was put into a clear tank, and suffocate and die to the gas she created. After two weeks of torture and confinement, she would not give the password to her computer containing the formula. In a premeditated fashion she was able to escape and make her way to her lab, where she memorized the formula and deleted all of her notes and test findings. Angered and frustrated, the sicario group took her outside of the compound where she had lived, worked, and watched her family die, and they shot her four times in the back and left her for dead.

Miraculously she was able to survive the first night, using anything she could find to keep herself alive. She made her way north, and after two weeks, motivated by her newfound hatred for people in general, and the desire to avenged her family, she made her way north, slowly but steadily until she was able to find civilization and medical attention. Sarah’s only goal now is to make all xerma members pay for her family’s death.
