Name: Gavotte Species and race: High Elf Age, gender and element: 35, Male, holy darkness Appearance: One could hardly miss this person, even if they wanted to do so : everything they wear is eye-catching, and the red, blue and white-striped jester hat tilted to the right side if his head does not help in any way. From bottom to top with the aforementioned colors showing a clear domination of the palette, we can see pointy-toed shoes topped by small bells, strapped pants, and a shirt that, despite the colors, actually looks somewhat fancy. Wearing this eye-catching yet not shocking costume is a man with shining star-shaped eyes, gold blond hair and a joyful expression that illustrates his perception of life : it's fun. Background: "I have a dream!". This sentence was used so many times to evoke so many different ideals. Some were dreaming of liberty. Others dreamt of justice. Others yet dreamt of peace. And on the other side of the spectrum, people dreamt of war, torture, and murder. However, all those dreams have a common denominator, something that, if achieved, would make everyone come together, their dream achieved. Ultimately, although the way to attain this state differs depending on the individual, the end goal remains the same : people dream of being happy! We will now look at a young High Elf who, far from thinking about this type of pseudo-philosophical stuff, simply wishes to make people around him have fun, be it by telling good jokes and clever puns or showing a few tricks to amaze the passerby ; showing his skill by juggling 10 balls at a time or walking a tightrope on a monocycle ; by throwing knives all around a target or making animal balloons… For Gavotte, self-proclaimed Ringmaster of the amazing Gavotte Circus (of which he is the only member), the means to entertain people are many and if happiness was considered an illness, then he created a pandemic wherever he went. Sure, Earth might be a tad messed up right now, but it certainly won't stop him from going around the world to spread smiles, laughs and awe always further. IT'S SHOWTIME! Birthmagi: The Entire Circus The user is able to make various circus props appear out of unexpected places, like a balloon from behind someone's ears, confetti out of their pockets, or rabbits from hats. Anything you can find in a circus could appear, so stay on your toes, because you never know what will come up! Journeyman enchanter catalyst. -- Journeyman's instrument - An instrument that can be carried by a person to serve as an amplifier to their bardic magics and playing skills. Unsurprisingly, this one is a trombone. A primary catalyst. +1 to effects of holy light and bardic skill stat boosts. -- Ringmaster's Outfit - A flashy, multicolored outfit worn by Gavotte. Composed of a red, blue and white-striped jester hat tilted to the right side of the head. Not actually a cat but a genuine tiger, but because it is constantly under the effect of Gavotte's illusion magic everyone just sees it as a cat. Requires 5 EMO./] Known skills: [/Dazzle - A skilled performer can make anything look cool. You sing, dance, and possibly twirl, which both distracts enemies and inspires allies. LVL 6 skill. +1 EMO to allies and -1 PER to enemies in line of sight. -- Instrumental - A short riff from whatever instrument you are carrying, executed perfectly. The inspiring tune will enhance all allies (within earshot) in their fighting efforts. High pace songs increase DEX and STR, while calming songs increase EMO and SAU. LVL 4 skill. +1 DEX and STR, or EMO and SAU. -- DOOM - The bard engages in full on demonic warsongs, instantly boosting the strength, dexterity and vitality of allies by a huge jump. Incurs a fear debuff on demons that can hear this song. LVL 7 skill. +2 to STR, DEX and VIT. -- Hemseian - The bard engages in an epic rap-poetry hybrid, backed with strong instrumentals. The lyrics are filled with wisdoms and inspiration, allowing allies who hear it to fight better than ever before. LVL 7 skill. +2 EMO, SAU and INT. -- Dash - The user puts all their energy into pushing their legs beyond their limit, forcing them to run much faster. LVL 1 skill. They cannot exceed 2 meters by 2 meters big. These illusions cannot damage anything or anyone. The illusion can move, but only when a higher level spell slot is used. LVL 1 spell. Requires 6 INT. -- Mind read -The user can read surface thoughts of anyone within range and sight. (By surface thoughts, it means what they are thinking of at that moment) LVL 1 spell. Requires 5 INT and 5 EMO. -- Psychotica - The caster puts an unsuspecting minor npc into a state of complete illusionary disarray. Causing the victim to see, hear and feel things that aren't really there. By the creative mind, this can be used to make the victim attack allies, attack themselves, performs tasks or simply be the victim of a very bad practical joke. LVL 3 spell. Requires 6 INT and 7 EMO. -- Invisibility - Become completely undetectable. You might as well stroll into the headquarters of the enemy, steal them blind and walk right again. No one would be the wiser. And yes, using this solely for perverted reasons is a federal offence. Can not attack whilst active. LVL 4 spell. Requires 8 INT. Lasts 3 rounds, but can be broken when taking damage or when attacking. -- Command - The caster launches a small pellet towards a target. Once it hits and takes effect, the target will be forced to follow a two word command. This can range from "stand still" to "attack friend". LVL 4 spell. Requires 6 INT and 7 EMO. Can be resisted if the target has a higher EMO than the caster. -- Solar Eclipse - The user gives the illusion of the sun being blocked out by something that's definitely NOT a moon, what with the eyes, teeth and tentacles, to the target. This severely demoralizes and maybe even terrifies the target, assuming the spell worked completely as intended. LVL 8 spell. Requires 9 INT and 8 EMO. Affects all targets within 25 metre radius. -4 EMO. Lasts 2 turns. -- Double team - This ability creates 9 copies of you, which are illusions and can't do anything except confuse your opponent. An opponent's accuracy is lowered by 1. Useful for get-aways. Can cast on other people and it does stack with "Clone". This holy darkness magic was used by elusive assassins who targeted evil dictators and required a get-away. LVL 4 spell. Requires 8 INT. Lasts 2 rounds or if destroyed. (Copies are destroyed by mere touch) -- Charm - The caster summons a rather un-darkness like pink cloud of holy magic, which is sent to take a hold of a target that is not in combat. Once taking effect, the target will act towards the caster as though they were a dear friend. LVL 5 spell. Requires 7 INT and 7 EMO. Lasts up to 3 rounds. Can be resisted if the target has a higher EMO than the caster. -- Mass charm - The caster releases a burst of pink, lovely holy magic, charming everyone in a 20 metre range. It mimics the effects of Charm, making everyone who is not directly in combat friendly towards the caster. LVL 10 spell. Requires 10 INT and 10 EMO. Lasts up to 3 rounds. Can be resisted if the target has a higher EMO than the caster. -- Clay key - The caster creates an imitation key for the specific lock it is trying to open, allowing the caster to turn the lock open after which the key dissipates. LVL 7 spell. Requires 10 INT. Unlocks master level locks and lesser on touch. -- Shadow sprint - Allows for the caster to 'jump' from one shadow to another, as long as said shadow is within a direct line of sight. This will let the caster move within the blink of an eye and have no one notice it. LVL 2 spell. Requires 7 INT. -- Dark oculus - A spell akin to dark vision is cast over the caster's eyes. Allows the caster to not only see living beings through obstructions, but also see useful objects, loot, gear and potential dangers. This allows the caster to not only see where the caster's enemies are located, but also what they're armed with. LVL 5 spell. Requires 9 INT. Lasts 4 rounds. -- Another’s Face - A skilled assassin knows that invisibility comes in many forms. Some of the best ways to hide is to do so in plain sight, after all. User spends a round studying the face of another, then creates an illusion of said person over the caster. LVL 2 spell. Requires 6 INT and 6 EMO. If damaged when still casting, the illusion is broken and unable to reapply for three rounds. -- Another’s Voice - Both the actor and the liar find their keep with this. User modifies their voice to sound precisely like another’s, although this holy spell does not make you talk like said person. LVL 1 spell. Requires 5 INT and 5 EMO./]
