The man smiled. He stepped down on one knee and said "We have been together through thick and thin through hell and back. There is no one else I would rather have by my side. Will you accept my offering and be my wife through thick and thin?" The woman gasped and nodded. The man smiled and slid the ring on her finger. He pecked her with a kiss and they would continue walking down the road. Directly to a courthouse.



6 years later.


"HAAAAAAAPPPPPYYYY BIRTHDAY CHARLOTTE!" A man would scream.
"DAD! I TOLD YOU NOT TO YELL!"
The 5 year-old yelled back. The man chuckled and waved her off placing a massive blueberry muffin in front of her. He smiled and said
"Fresh blueberries I used blue berry juice instead of water. And your strawberry banna milkshake is in the blender!"
Charlotte smiled and hugged the man beaming with joy in her face and voice.
"Thank you daddy!"
A woman walked in and signed to her daughter
"Is he compling to all requests?"
The young lady replied by saying
"No he yelled as he always does!"
The woman stared at the man and shook her head. She handed a small gift to young girl and signed
"Open it"
Overcome with joy she tore into the box. She pulled out a large sheath. She pulled out a baton from the sheath. She pressed a button on the side and it formed a smaller sized twirling baton. The man smiled and said
"Your mother provided me the matriels. I made that for you. It's from both of us. I hope you like it."
The girl frowned and looked at her father and said
"Like it? Ugh hell no. I LOVE IT!"
Her father frowned and said
"I will let it slide now but language. And I'm glad! Now mommy has to leave for work. She will be back home early. Are you ready to go with her or no?"
"NO! DON'T LEAVE WITHOUT ME!"
The little girl ran off. The man looked at his wife and said
"You guys stay safe okay?"
The woman nodded and walked off following the daughter. The man started doing dishes as they left he shouted
"HAVE A NICE DAY! AND REMEBER. IF ANYONE BOTHERS YOU TO MUCH!"
"BREAK THERE LEGS AND TELL DADDY! I KNOW!"
And with that they left. He was alone again. He would continue about his daily activities until a few hours later a familiar man knocked on his door. Answering it he was greeted with the old man who showed him the way.
He stood mouth slightly ajar and said.
"Z I thought you were dead. Where have you been!"
"Out. But I'm afraid I have some bad news. It's about your wife and daughter. They. They were kidnapped. Your wife's body was found half way in a river. We don't know where your daughter is. But we need your help again. Please come back."
The man collapsed holding a hand to his mouth. He started to sob when a stern hand landed on his head with force.
"NOW ISN'T THE TIME GO MOURN! YOU CAN STILL SAVE YOUR DAUGHTER!"
He shook his head and said
"If it is who I think it is. They are both already dead. It's to late for them. But those men. They will perish. I will end there pitiful lives and string them up like pigs to the slaughter."
The mans face once alive with emotion turned blank. Neutral. He went to his dresser he pulled out an old old knife. The letter Y faded but still engraved on his knife. Old,out of practice but revengr would be sweet for Yakov. And it would be slowly achieved.
