But she simply seemed to ignore his yelps as she muttered another spell and lasers began spinning around her and smaller fireballs flew towards him.

The girl quite easily sidestepped the two knives. However, she noticed something about them that made her stop her attack. "This is... Sakuya's knives." She muttered yet another spell and raised her hand once again, launching a barrage of lasers at him as more fireballs flew at him, this time joined by boulders raning from above that were pulverized when they hit the ground.

As time restarted again she flew off the ground and over the knives, pausing for a second in mid air. "You're looking for the missing people? I presume you need the help of my mistress. I will take you to her. But first, our duel must be finished." She landed on the ground and pulled out something he would reconize as a Spell Card. The words printed on it, despite being too far away to read, seemed to almost imprint themselves into his mind.

Suddenly five crystals of various colours appeared in front of her and began firing elemental energy erratically at him while she stood behind them chanting spells at surprising speed.

As he distanced himself, she lifted her arms and several lasers began shooting out, sweeping across the room, while the barrage of elemental shots continued.

The girl continued her barrage of lasers and bullets, visibly cringing at his pun. However, she was too busy chanting to reply. He could climb the bookcases to get a better position or he could check the contents of a book in case it may have a useful spell. She also seemed to be visibly running out of breath, gasping a bit inbetween words, and so he could just wait until she can't chant anymore.

Looking at the titles of the books, he would notice that almost all of them were various spellbooks. However, one book about counterspells caught his eye. Meanwhile, the girl's gasps were getting more obvious as she was clearly running out of breath. However this did not stop a laser from sweeping past Joseph, almost skewering him in the process.
